No plans that I'm aware of. But it's a darned good feature suggestion!

Greetings nathan_collins,

Thank you for the additional questions and certainly you can manage it by user roles.

Is there any way that I can make this plugin only show up for users with specific roles?

And in this specific case I believe the User Role Editor plugin is the right tool for the job and perhaps the Role Scoper plugin the same.

For most of the items you mentioned above a role editor should be able to help get this sorted.

Let us know how it goes if you try one of them out.

Thank you for being a WPMU DEV Community Member!

Cheers, Joe

I also don't like how this moderation plugin ads a "Report this blog" link and a Report this post" link to the front end of all the sites on my multisite network. I think there should be an option to have the "Report this post" link. I think it would be better if only members of the multisite network had the ability to report blogs or posts.
Anonymous users should not be seeing the "report this blog", "report this post" links.

I was just testing the user removal feature on with a different user on my network who is also a super admin. I entered in "admin" in the remove user field and pushed submit, hoping it would not actually remove the admin, but it did. It completely remove the the admin user with an ID of 1 and I had to recreate the admin user and log into phpmyadmin and change the ID back to 1.

I think the moderation plugin is awesome, but I just think that there should be some users that can not be removed no matter what.

Thanks for the quick reply. If I wasn't trying to duplicate the EduBlogs model, it would. In my case, it won't.

I'm looking for a global style I can apply to this link, regardless of the theme one of my site owners chooses to apply.

If there you had a "global css include" plugin, this would work.

Hi Tom,

Maybe I misunderstood what the Moderation plugin does, but I'm looking for something that will allow readers to report inappropriate or offensive published posts or comments. Due to the number of authors on my blog, it's not possible to read through all of their posts before they are published. Is there a solution for this?

I already use a role manager and adminimize manage permissions/capabilities.

Greetings george_douglas,

Thank you for the additional clarification which is certainly appreciated.

Does this issue occur with the Twenty Eleven theme?

Do to the fact that this is occurring in a custom theme which may indeed need custom coding, which is beyond the scope of the support we provide here.

Alternatively, you could see if there's a developer available at wpmu jobs who could get onto it right this minute

Or you could always approach someone like Tweaky

Please advise.

The pages such as Author Archives -- I thought that was a page that was part of a subsite, but when I changed the theme, that page did not switch themes -- only the sub-site itself changed. .com/authorname vs. .com/blog/author/authorname. The .com/authorname is the actual subsite -- the other is not, it is part of the main site which is gathering information. Therefore, I would like the moderation plug-in to work on the main site posts, not just on the subsites posts. Not sure if this makes sense to you, my theme "serpent" is a bit different. Yes, I followed the instructions.

What I am getting right now is on the .com/author -- the posts have moderation (as it is on a subsite) -- when I am on the mainsite, .com/blog/author/authorname -- there is no moderation on posts.

This make sense?

That really helped -- when I changed the theme, pages that I thought were on the subsites were actually on the main site -- How do I make this plugin work on the main site?

Greetings george_douglas,

Thank you for this great question and bringing this significant issue to our attention.

As Jack asked what is the name of your theme?

At this point I suggest it is time to go into full blown trouble shooting mode because it appears there may be some conflict here and one way to find out conclusively.

Standard plugin trouble shooting protocol - first to switch to the Twenty Eleven theme just long enough to check for the problem - if the problem still exists next involves deactivating all plugins except the plugin in question and then see if the issue still exists.

If it does not, then you want to activate plugins one at a time testing in between to see if the issue returns. Even when you find one plugin, it may be in your interest to deactivate the problem plugin and continue testing the rest of the plugins to insure no others are also conflicting.

You will know the conflict when the issue returns and which plugin(s) you activated that cause the issue.

Please advise if there are any plugin conflicts and if so what the plugins are that are conflicting.

Cheers, Joe
