Edit line 122 of the file base.css simply copy and paste this over the top of the file and upload it again.

.home-intro p {font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; float: left; width: 100%; color: #333333;display: none;}

Important to note however that we are dealing with native BuddyPress functions, not theme functions, and it may not be feasible to override them in a theme.

I'm sorry but I can't find the threat that you are referring to...

Anyways, I have done the inspect element but can't make out what to do and also in which css file must I apply the rule?

I'm not a developer, so please be patient :(

Hi there this can be done again as i mentioned in the other thread using css and the same methods. right click the part of the page you want to hide in chrome, select inspect element, you will see the html on left css on right at the bottom of your browser and then just apply a display:none css rule to that part.

So I uninstalled and deleted Social. Then downloaded it again and re-installed. Life is good. Widgets are displaying where they should. Sorry I didn't think of this before posting the question.

I had two plugins activated when I did the install, query posts and widget logic. I deactivated them, but still nothing. I've tried diffferent widgets, but nothing.

Hi @booom,

I just took a look at the page again and it looks good to me. Now you can see all four borders of each box.You might need to just reload the page. It's probably just cached in your browser.

I have copied that right at the bottom of style.css but it did not make a difference...any other ideas?

Perfect! Thanks, yes that makes sense. This is a result of your plugin setting width to 100% and setting a padding which pushed it outside the containing element. Unfortunately because they also used inline styles, we can't directly fix that styling.

However, we can fix this another way. Adding this to your CSS will fix this by telling the elements to take padding into consideration first.

box-sizing: border-box;

The lines of the box does not close on the right hand side....

It looks like this:

I just took a look, and I don't see anything suspicious going on. What do you mean by close? Does the login box go away or the state changes? I logged into the site and it's no longer showing the login box.

Would you mind elaborating a bit on the issue here? Or could you get me a link to the plugin you're using? I could test it out and look for differences

Try editing one of your pages.
On the right, you should see a "Page Attributes" metabox.
In there, there are options for "Parent" and "Template".
Make sure that you've selected the Default template, and that you've added your widgets on the "sidebar-left and sidebar-right widget areas.

Hi,

I am using a login widget from Mingle. The username and password entry boxes don't close when it is installed on your theme....it closes when used on other themes.

To see what I mean visit my site http://www.fishingbuddies.co.za and look at the middle widget area.

Any ideas on how I can fix that?

It is the Social Theme.

I have problem with all the pages I put in my menu, on these pages it only show one right bar, not the left bar.

No, you did nothing wrong... the solution I previously suggested was simply incomplete. My fault.

Delete everything from lines 55 and below, leaving only the three </div> tags at the bottom.

Or simply copy-paste the contents of this, replacing what you already have in that file:

That actually depends on your theme...
Which pages are you having an issue with?
