edit: I just noticed in your example you have the subtitle bit within the beginning h2 tag instead of between the h2 tags. Are you trying to display the contents of the subtitle field to the visitor or is it some sort of id or class tag?

Hi,

I've created a custom field called subtitle... and would like to add a line of code to my page.php file so that it displays underneath the title...

but am getting confused about what to put in the code. This is what I came up with but it's not working.

<h2 $post->ID 'subtitle'> </h2>

It is a setting on each blog's settings page, so save it to what you want in a blog, and make that the default template using the plugin above.

I'm afraid I;m a still a bit lost from what you;re trying to do.

- Do you want to remove the php code from the themes that outputs the subtitles? That way no blog has any subtitles on their blogs.

- Do you want to remove the "Just Another Wordpress blog" from the blog creation process but yet leave the code in the theme files so that your endusers can put their own in there?

This of course places the field on the wrong part of the sign up page process, LOL,, and of course I don't know how to actually insert a tag line for the blog being created.

Andrew with a little guidance I would give it a try.... what is the best and easiest way to learn enough to do that? ( I am a good coder - just not a wp coder,, but I could learn somewhat I suppose )

One plugin that I would find most useful would be something to allow the user to create a tag line for the blog at the time of registration. Just as you have password at sign up plugin,, this would be super useful too..

I need subtitles/ manuscripts to be added in your premium videos.
My users don't speak English, and I want to make the translation for them, so that the videos don't become useless for non-english users like me.
