Greetings GuitFu,

Great question in which I do not know the answer and I would have no problem asking the lead developer but if the past is any indication his answer will be something along the lines of that would be a core edit to the plugin along with custom coding. The support we provide here is how to use the current features of our products and bug fixing, teaching someone to code PHP is a bit beyond that scope.

Therefore we (you and I) are up against a brick wall unless we can come up with a way to overcome this ourselves to the best of my knowledge.

Please advise if you have made any headway integrating this form yourself?

Cheers, Joe

Oh! Maybe alternatively, all the public info can be on the signup page but have the users redirected to a page that has another custom form that they fill out. That form could just be delivered to admin email like an email form.

Would doing something like that (redirecting - I can do the custom form page) just be a bit of js worked into the sign up form?

Hmmm... I don't know php and am pretty new to js. Is that what we're talking about with coding? Would gravity forms work better? Someone suggested that.

Greetings GuitFu,

Welcome to WPMU Dev!

It is my opinion that Custom Press plugin may help with this for the fields or perhaps the Developer's Custom Fields plugin.

It will probably take considerable custom coding to get the fields set exactly correct to collect the data on the front end and then to display partial data later i.e. collect address but only display city and state.

Thank you for being a WPMU Dev Member!

Cheers, Joe

Trying to create a signup page that has field for publically displayed info and fields for info that just gets collected by the admins. It's for a charity walk. So far example, we want to be able to collect mailing address details but only show the 'city' and 'state' fields on the users' public profiles. The whole information (in this case, "street address," "state" and "city") should be able to be easily collected by the admins.

Any thoughts?? It's for a good cause and I'm a bit overwhelmed.
