Thanks guys, looks like the sidebar template doesn't work on the Studio theme, as I've only got one event at the moment I might just set a simple 301 redirect on the events page to the single event page and come back to the calendar when I have more events to display!

If you're still set to use the calendar override...

To get the sidebar (works on twenty eleven):
1. Edit /plugins/events-and-bookings/default-templates/calendar/events.css
2. Change line 9 to:

width: 70%;

3. Edit /plugins/events-and-bookings/default-templates/calendar/archive-incsub_event.php
4. Add this above the get_footer line at the bottom:

<?php get_sidebar( 'event' ); ?>

Hi themarketingcompass,

You obviously solved the issue you mentioned in your first message. Regarding the second one:

In the Appearance Settings there are different options for Archive template. By changing them you will see different alternatives, including those with sidebars.

If none of them fits to you then you can uncheck "Override default appearance?" checkbox. Then your themes structure will be applied.

A third alternative is editing template files under default-templates folder.

Cheers,
Hakan

I seem to be able to use the plugin calendar setting. But there's two things thata bit strange about using it.

1) the calendar takes up the full page, would prefer to have my sidebar there?

2) the calendar starts on the current month as you'd expect, however my first event is not until next month, so you have to click through to see any events at all. I don't think most visitors will have the inclination to click through to see what events are coming up if they can't see it straight away.

Any way to just show upcoming events on the events page itself?

Hi Support, I've just updated to the latest version of events+ and now my events page just shows 'no event found'

There is a published event in the backend ( see: http://www.marketingcompass.co.uk/events/2012/06/5860/ ) , I've setup the root slug as /events

I'm using the Studio Child theme that came from WPMUdev so wouldn't have thought there was a a theme conflict, besides it was working before the update anyway!

A bit confused as to what it could be....
