Greetings winning,

Just checking if this issue was eventually resolved in another thread? Or by yourself separately to us? Or by us over email with you? Or using our live support?

If so, no need to reply, that's great news.

If not, or you have any more questions related to this thread, please feel free to post them below including any new symptoms or errors and tick the 'Mark as Not Resolved (re-open)' box below the post area (or else we'll miss it!)

Otherwise, happy days, glad you got it sorted :)

Thank you for being a WPMU Dev member!

Cheers, Joe

Greetings winning,

I found that to control this I am using another plugin call MultiPress Blog Register which is one file I put into a folder of the same name in my plugins folder.

I will attach it below.

Please advise how it goes.

Cheers, Joe

Hi Joe,

Do you mind to show me how to: make the new role the default role for those (new subsite) signing up?

Thanks!

Greetings winning,

I would watch out for the advice of that Joe guy - he is a rascally rabbit ..... lol

What I would recommend for this is setting up a new role and making it the default role for those signing up or bettert yet using Advanced Access Manager plugin to manage other Administrators.

Though I have not tried it myself - I think by it's description it will do the job.

Let me know if you try it out how it goes.

Cheers, Joe :-)

Joe suggested "User Role Editor WordPress plugin" in another post. It looks great! Just one little question since it can not change role capabilities for "Administrator"

My question is how to remove some default capabilities of a sub-site admin?

The story behind the question is, on WPMU network site, once people registers a new sub-site, by default, he is the admin for this new sub-site, and I want to disable some capabilities or even not only disable but also hide all disabled capability menu links. For instance, to disable: add new pages, edit theme files, install new themes, edit menu or widget, etc.

Thanks!
