Greetings from the WPMU DEV Support Team and thank you for being a member.

Do you have a problem with any of the other plugins installed on your WordPress setup? If the BuddyPress Activity Plus Plugin folder is within the wp-contents/plugins folder and you're having this issue then you might experience the same with other plugins. So let me know if other plugins also give an error.

Most likely a permissions or ownership issue.

wp-content directory: you'll either need to change the ownership (chown) the directory & subdirs to the new account OR set the folder permissions (chmod) to 755.

That should fix it for you...

I have just migrated my site to a new hosting server. All LOOKS good. I was trying to update a plugin and got this error message:

Update Plugin
Unable to locate WordPress Content directory (wp-content).

I see the directory via Cpanel file manger -so why doesn't WP see it ?
