If you have the premium mamp pretty sure that can do it for you. Otherwise you would need to do manually. Google is your friend there: http://wpmu.org/10-ways-to-set-up-a-testing-environment-for-wordpress/

Can you elaborate on that a bit more Aaron?

I use mamp and put everything in the htdocs folder.
I drop in a new wordpress install, rename the folder and go from there.

It goes by the referrer header, so it can work. Example they work fine on my local test environment which I have set to wpms.local as the domain in my hosts file. Then I have wpms.local registered with the API.

Ok, thanks Timothy.
Its not a big deal, really. IT's not like the videos need to be customized, so I can just input those once the site is done and live.

Thanks again.

Hey Craig, thanks for getting in touch.

Unfortunately not, we only currently accept domain names. I will ask Aaron (one of our developers) for some feedback on the possibility of using IP addresses in the future.

Although I suspect the reason being is that IP addresses can run many websites, where as a domain is only one.

Take care.

I'm running wordpress with MAMP on a test site for a client before uploading it to my live server.
I installed the integrated video tutorials plugin but it seems for the videos to show up a domain needs to be registered.
Is there another way to get this to work in a development environment off a live server?

Thanks.

Craig
