Hey Coxis.

That would be possible but its not something which could be done without you doing some custom code to figure that out. I also think being able to create different codes and tracking stats would be cool. You could create Facebook ones, Twitter ones, etc good for seeing where people came from.

If this is urgent for you then unfortunately you would need to hire a developer to code that for you.

I'd love to see this in there as you may have seen form my past post. So lets see if we can get more members wanting this. The more demand for this, the more likely we can get the developer to include it in the future. ;-)

Take care.

My clients on the network (the guys who have a site under my network), would love the ability to specify a code for members to signup to their site. Is this possible via a tweak?

Hey smartsites.

I'm sorry but as you came to find that is currently out of the scope of the modules features.

I guess the next step would be to look at modifying the plugin so its only displayed when "gimme a site" is displayed. Or have it called on the blog details page which they fill out.

I think this would be an excellent addition though as a feature. I would love the ability to allow people to continue signing up for membership but then limit the blog creation through a code. I could imagine this helping prevent a large chunk of spam by getting users to contact you through some other form first to grab a code.

Excellent, idea. Anyone else want this?

I know I would love to see it. So +1 from me. :-)
