Yep, currently you'd be limited to alphanumeric characters with this one. We've tagged the developer on this though, he'll have a look when he has a free moment.

Thanks,
David

Hi Kuroi,

This plugin has been superseded by this plugin: http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/blog-and-user-creator.

I'm afraid, however, that you can only create usernames with alphanumeric characters.

Hmmm. Must have been having a senior moment when I responded last. That is the right network, but not the right site or the right issue.

The create user issue is occurring on one of the other sites in the network, an internal directory with a need to bulk create new users as per their historic naming convention, which alas contains a "dot".

Apologies for any confusion.

The network is completely up-to-date, i.e. version 3.2.1.

One of the network's sites is http://innovation-partnership.info (for which I'm trying to upload the favicon) but the others contain commercially confidential info and are therefore screened from public view.

Let me see about getting a developer onto that for you. Perhaps can you provide a link and also let us know what version of WordPress / BuddyPress and / or multisite are you using so we can do accurate testing please?

Plugin doesn't seem to like dots in new user names. WordPress doesn't seem to mind them and my client's naming convention includes them. Is there are reason why this plugin would be refusing to accept them, or better still any way to persuade to change its mind?
