Hi Robert

*sigh* Internet Explorer... what a pain.

There should be some sort of "compatibility mode" in IE9 I believe which when turned on such sort that out.

That said, I would always recommend you use Chrome anyway ;)

Once you mentioned Javascript errors I instantly decided to test another web browser than IE9 and what do you know, In google chrome it works without a problem! (Although there is still the huge gap in the widgets but I guess that is supposed to be there)

So it seems it has just been a browser issue this whole time! >_<

Do you know of any way to fix this issue in Internet explorer 9? Some plugin or setting somewhere that needs to be changed?

According to IE9 an error is (did a translation from Swedish to English):
Detailed information of the problem on the website:

Message: invalid character
Row: 70
character: 4
code: 0
URI: http://www.lchf.biz/wp-admin/widgets.php

Apparently the browser seems to get a similiar error message on pretty much any page on the dashboard so maybe it can't be fixed.

Thanks
/Robert

Do you see any Javascript errors when you're on the Widgets page?

Look in the Tools menu for an error console....

As i wrote in my previous post:

"I also just tried using your theme on a fresh install of Wordpress without multisite or buddypress or any plugins and still the problem with not being able to draw widgets."

The default wordpress theme twenty ten has been network activated the whole time. Deactivating it made no difference either.

I can actually draw the first top 3 widgets to the side but the rest I am unable to draw. If you look at one of my previous screenshots that would be the widgets: Anpassad meny (custom menu?) Arkiv (Archives) and edu clean | Buddypress random groups that works.

I also just rechecked on the fresh install of wordpress (no plugins) with the edublogs theme and it is the same way there with only the top 3 widgets working. Although instead of edu clean | Buddypress random groups, there is edu clean | Featured categories (Since buddypress is not installed)

So I think it is safe to say that it is not a plugin conflict that is the cause of this problem.

Okay, you do need to disable ALL plugins - including BuddyPress and Update Notifications. Otherwise we can't rule out a plugin conflict.

You also need to activate the default WordPress theme. We've seen lots of issues like this where it's a theme conflict.

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers,
Phil

I tried redownloading the theme but I get the same error anyway. I'm clueless as to why it doesn't work :/

I also just tried using your theme on a fresh install of Wordpress without multisite or buddypress or any plugins and still the problem with not being able to draw widgets.

Nevermind the screenshot below since custom menus does work. It was just me who failed there.

Here is a better looking screenshot :)
To my defense I must say I was abit rushed before since I wanted to post the support question before I had to leave. Because I agree that the screenshot before was horrendous.

Ye it was bad quality because there is a limit on how big the screenshot can be so the quality took a hit. Not really sure how I managed to get it that bad though x). But the screenshot was just to show that there is a gap where widgets could have been and that you can make out on the screenshot.

I'll try and get a better screenshot next time :)

I've just discovered a huge bug with the edublogs theme. You can't drag and move almost any widget when the theme is active. To make sure it was the theme that was causing the problem I activated another theme and then everything worked without any problem.

As you can see on the screenshot there is also a big hole in the widget area. It looks like if as 3 widgets are missing.
