The new 133 pack is a superset of the 100 theme pack, right? Or are they entirely different themes? In either case, impressive.

The 133 pack is an upgrade of the 100 pack with additions and fixes along with some renaming.
There's some discussion in the announcement thread and I;'ve gone ahead and tagged this thread so you can see more.

New 33 themes have been added to the previous list of 100. Edublogs now utilizes the new 33 themes as a Premium Theme for Pro users and other 100 themes for free accounts.

In preparation for our 3.0 upgrade, we're finally getting around to updating our theme pack and I notice some previous themes missing (or renamed). Most importantly, we run a modified version of the the previous default theme, which had some nice instructions and links for new bloggers in the default sidebars. We modified all the Edublogs verbiage and links to meet the needs of our community.
This "default" theme is missing from the new pack. Cutline – on which the old "default" was based – is there but it only has one sidebar and none of the custom new blogger sidebar links.
Anyone know if the previous "default" theme is 3.0 compatible? Or how I can get a new version to hack? Has it just been renamed? Thanks in advance for any input.
PS: Here's an example of the theme I'm talking about, with the default sidebars (and new blogger links) still in place...

Update: I'm testing 3.0 on our dev install, and existing blogs display fine using the theme I mentioned above – called Edublogs Default in the previous theme pack. (We've hacked it and renamed it Default). Upon creation of a new site, however, no blog displays at all at the new subdomain. So I checked the Themes tab and no theme is selected for the new site. I had to actually select and activate the Default theme. Once I did, the blog displays as expected.
Why wouldn't the default theme (or any theme) be selected upon blog creation? Am I missing something? Is there a setting in 3.0 for selecting the default theme? Anyone?
