Add New User to Site

Elite

This seems kind of basic, but I'm stumped.

From the dashboard of http://hyperlocalsites.com, as a Super Admin, I added new user to a site and made her an Editor. I see her in the Users list and if I edit the User I can see that she is associated with only that site with the role of Editor.

She received the confirmation email and successfully logged into the primary site. When she goes to the 'My Blogs' section of the BuddyPress menu bar, the only option she sees is "Create a blog".

I upped her role to Administrator and had her refresh and do the delete cache and cookie dance with no result. Ideas?

She sees it as admin?

My blogs list is cached for quite a bit in a blog option. I would just hang on a while. It really should show up.

@Joseff She does not see anything new as admin

@Aaron Why would it be cached as a new user? Her first time to the site was following the confirmation email.

I had her try with a different browser just to test the cache theory. No change. She still only sees "Create a Blog".

Update: I have her login so I can test a few things. I went to an old post and her username was listed when I chose to change the author of the post. I selected her and updated. I logged out as me and in as her and it still shows she has 0 blogs. All buddypress stuff says 0 blogs.... hmmm... BuddyPress not synced with Wordpress? Looking in to it.

Gotta figure out how the bar determines who see's what then back trace to see if a plugin is interrupting this.

Well, that seems to be the issue. User is seen by both WP and BP, but BP doesn't associate the User with the Site. In fact, Iogged in as her user I can enter the /wp-admin/ page and see that I am logged in as her. Still BP does not associate her with the blog she is a User (Administrator) for.

I'll try to replicate the bug(?) later. In the meanwhile, is there a way for me to add this User to the site as far as BP is concerned, or should I just delete the user and try again?

I ran into this on one of my sites over the weekend. Seems that WP is not syncing with BP.

@christopher, can't you enter that other site, then add her as admin from the back end?
