So I tried activating a bunch of plugins. Now all I see is:
The Admin Message plugin is only compatible with WordPress Multisite.
Literally. I can't access anything. How can I disable the plugin?
I'd advise WPMU to consider putting some sort of warnings at least in the plugin description that enabling this plugin on non-multisite websites will "break" your WP.

Hiya!
As per the plugin page, Admin Message is not compatible with standard installs of WordPress - it only works with Multisite.
You will need to delete the plugin from your plugins folder to get rid of it.
Thanks,
Phil

Ok, my issue is that I'm effectively locked out of my WordPress installation after trying to activate a plugin that I didn't realize incompatible (no warning or mention in plugin description when viewing in WordPress plugin page).
How can I disable the plugin and get back in? Will deleting the folder on the server help or will it make matters worse?

This happened to me before using one of their plugins that was not properly identified as only for multisite. I solved it by going in via FTP into the wordpress plugins directory (wp-content/plugins) and deleting the folder containing the plugin. After I did that, all was back to normal.
Good luck!
