I was actually having a bit of trouble on that one myself, then finally realized I didn't have the "Add any that do not exist." option ticked as illustrated here.
Not sure if it's that simple in your case, but hoping so. Could you let me know if you have that option ticked?
I think the issue is surrounding that option and I'm wondering if maybe the value is reading inverted somehow. Could you maybe try un-ticking that option and seeing if that works?
I'll see what I can find as to where the value's at in the database too. Meanwhile, I've tagged the developer on this as well.
This didn't seem to work. We're now also unable to view any feeds after updating to 3.5.7, reverting to 3.5.4 resolves the issue, have opened new ticket for this as well.
As we haven't heard back from you we're going to assume the problem was sorted out and mark this thread as resolved.
If it wasn't resolved, or you have any more questions related to this thread please feel free to post them below and tick the 'Mark as Not Resolved (re-open)' box below the post area (or else we'll miss it!)
Otherwise, thanks for using the forums, and, as always, for being a member of WPMU DEV, it's a pleasure to help you out and we look forward to being of assistance in the future.
After upgrading to 3.5.6, all feeds have disappeared and we're unable to add feeds, so we're working in another thread on this. Can't address the tag issue in this thread until we can view feeds and get feeds working again ....
Hi @dubya, can you give us as much detail as possible about your versions and settings / feed settings?
Can you add tags to a post if you enter it using the standard WP interface?
@Tracy - nope - it uses the same code for everything - and the same function that WP uses to create a post (with tags) in the standard Post interface, so if anything it confuses things more :)
@mason: Sorry, I shouldn't have commented because we're still using 3.5.4, somewhere around 3.5.5 or thereafter, all of our feeds disappear and we can't add feeds, we've tried 3.6.1 to no avail, so we reverted to 3.5.4 ......
I know this probably won't help much, but noticing that on some blogs tags DO work randomly on some posts ... maybe 1 out of every 8 or so posts do have tags .... very bizarre ...
I'm now using Autoblog 3.6.1 on wp 3.2.1 MS
Autoblog is set to post the feeds on the main site, assign posts to catagory, treat catagories as tags (add any that do not exist is checked) and to add a specified tag.
No tags or catagories are being added. I can manually add them though.
One thing I just realized is that I am posting the feed to a custom post type. There is custom taxonomy as well as custom catagory and tag base URLs...
Just checking if it was eventually resolved in another thread? Or by yourself separately to us? Or by us over email with you? Or using our live support?
If so, no need to reply, that's great news.
If not, could you let us know by re-opening this topic, and we'll get onto it and helping you out asap!

Yep, already have that checked .... this issue has been occurring on and off depending on the version prior to that checkbox being an option. :)

Hi guys,
There was just a couple of updates to the plugin. Could you please let us know how the latest version works for you?
It includes a repair option that should help us sort this for you. Could you give that a go?
Thanks,
David

I can confirm that tags are not being added for me.

We're not seeing this issue in single site installs, only in multi-site, hope this helps.

@dubya, Were you able to get the info Barry asked for? How bout you, Tracy? Did the latest version take care of this one?
