Hiya SooBahkDo,
Do you have the latest version of the Update Notifications plugin? I'm not noticing any issue with the latest version of this plugin with Avatars. If that doesn't solve it try manually downloading the plugin and installing again.

Hiya Phil,
Hmmm... I'm not having any errors on my install. It shouldn't have anything to do with the theme, but I'm using the latest version of the Studio Theme though (1.2.7). Can you try a theme upgrade and see if that helps? Alternatively, try a different theme, but I don't think the theme matters in this case.
The email_exists() function is default to WordPress. I'll ask Ulrich to respond, but I can't think of why you'd be having this issue:

Hi Mason,
Downloaded and reinstalled and the nagging ceased. Joy!
Additional issue: with this version of Avatars activated network wide (WP3.04) the Studio Theme 1.2.2 comment area returns this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function email_exists() in /home/content/40/6966240/html/wp-content/plugins/avatars/avatars.php on line 1245
Deactivating Avatars, the comment section is happy.
The previous version did not upset the Studio Theme. They liked each other just fine.
