I was testing something and tried to comment while not logged in, getting this:
Cheating huh
Protected by: AVH First Defense Against Spam - WPMU DEV Version
how about showing some useful info to the blocked commenter, just in case it is actually a human? I mean, here I am commenting on my own site, being refused without knowing why.
Some pointer as to why I am being blocked would be nice.... might be my IP, might be Stop Forum Spam, might be Project Honeypot, etc..

Actually, that "Cheating" message is often in relation to a user role issue... Seeing as I can't reproduce in a vanilla install it leads me to think something is interfering with yours.
comments are allowed. I was commenting on an old post, so the auto-moderate plugin was probably active...
since that is not the default error I was seeing, I guess we can forget about this issue, nothing you can do about it :-)

Hiya,
I've just tried to replicate this and can't, which suggests something to do with your setup.
The usual questions about checking for plugin conflicts etc apply and it'd be good to know what you discussion settings are.
Cheers,
Phil

I was suspecting that was the default message shown to bots and people stopped by AVH in general?
