We're doing something strikingly similar. For artists, but not much else is different. Even used the same theme and color scheme for our public site!
So I gotta ask: how are you doing your 15-day free trial? It looks as though you're using Supporter, and I haven't been able to get that working, as I have discussed in this thread...
also just read your other thread. I don't require user to pre fill paypal. I basically disable the front end of their website when their supporter trail ends.
Have you verified that Supporter works for those initial free days? I put 30 days in there, but the PayPal form never changed to indicate this, and from what I saw in the code isn't configured to do so. Perhaps I am missing something else, still looking.
Did you have to do some special trick with that Optimize theme to get the signup form to show without that rainbow background color? A bit of a CSS change or something?
yeah, I confirmed it works, what happens is the plugin sets a time stamp 15 days out and then after that my paypal page shows and the front end of the website is disabled.

I used other plugins from wpmu dev, wordpress plugin repo and wrote quite a few of my own.
Thanks johnny, did you use a plugin for the custom default blogs? I want to have my new default blogs have lots more content than just the first page/first comment... I would like to have multi pages and plugins ready to go.

One problem I saw is that I can't get past the initial signup page. The button dims and it just sits there, saying "Creating account..."

thx for the heads up on the bug, were you using mac chrome by any chance?
For the 15 day free trial I use support and there's an option to set intial support days in the settings.
I can send you a screen shot if needed.

I really liked your website. Very straightforward and impressive layout on the homepage etc. Makes me want to start a band!
What plugin did you use for the music player?
