Anyone know of a Wordpress plugin that improves/replaces the network admin's search tools? I find that it's impossible to find users/sites with the existing tools. For example, if someone emails me without providing their subdomain, I have to browse through 10 pages of users to find them because there's no way to search by email address. I've started just searching the database directly because it's so much easier. Is there something I'm missing? Or is there a tool out there to ease that pain?

I agree the site/user search does leave a bit to be desired.
Inerestingly, I'm able to search with a portion of an email address to find a user account or vice versa. Actually end up doing that quite a bit here on WPMU DEV. I can even search for "gmail.com" and pull all user profiles that signed up with gmail.
I'm not able to do this on my test... maybe this is something different in the latest version of WordPress? Hmm... will have to investigate but not sure of any other solution for the admin at this point.

I've heard good things of this one, but believe it's only available for front end...

Anyone else have recommendations?

Not heard of anything else but definitely share your pain there! There do seem to be inconsistencies in what will return a match as well.
Keen to hear other solutions...
