Yikes: I upgrade to WPMu 2.9.2 and the thumbnails are no longer displayed in the blog loop. http://divebarregulars.com/category/dive-bars/ - (This problem exists on BP Magazine 1.1.3, 1.1.5 & 1.1.6)
Also since upgrading, link css is changing colors.

@terry hall: I get no issues with wpmu 2.9.2 in my testing. That is a custom function and the same one being used on the front for the posts so it seems something else is an issue. Could you remove your wp-commerce plugin and any other plugins and put on the latest version of bp-magazine fresh as in delete the older version and put that on cleanly. Also deactivate and reactivate the theme as you do this without plugins.

@tlister: OK - Running BP-Magazine 1.1.6 (fresh install), WPMu 2.9.2, I've removed (deleted) all WP & WPMu plugins except Buddypress. Still no thumbnails.

@Terry Hall: What version of BuddyPress are you running on is it 1.2.1.? Saying that the BuddyPress version should not effect anything on this but just checking. One thing I did notice was if you do a search for dive bar you get one image showing on that page so my initial thoughts is something has gone on with your images during this upgrade as what that function does is pull images through. Have you done a new post since then just as a test to see if it is a problem now?
Also can you pick a post and try uploading a new image doing the ordering behind of images (attachment wise) and make that one be the top image to see if it pulls through those.

I just dug deeper.. those posts have images at the bottom not the top of the article can you try putting those at the top to see if that resolves the problem please. For instance: http://divebarregulars.com/dive-bars/irelands-32/ as opposed to http://divebarregulars.com/dive-bar-specials/dive-bar-etiquette-2/ the later one 'dive bar etiquette' pulls through the image correctly.

Thx Tammie: I am running BP 1.2.1 - Images loaded via the dashboard & post edit do work.
This looks like a Mu problem and any assistance you can give me is appreciated.
The images on http://divebarregulars.com were loaded via TDO Mini Forms with resulting image_url being http://divebarregulars.com/wp-content/uploads/tdomf//5098/beer-10-150x150.jpg - the urls are valid and were being pulled through prior to upgrading to 2.9.2 - After upgrade, they are not.
This is the image tag from the post:
<img src="http://divebarregulars.com/wp-content/uploads/tdomf//5098/beer-10-150x150.jpg" alt="beer-10.jpeg (125 KB)" />
This is the image_url custom field: http://divebarregulars.com/wp-content/uploads/tdomf//5098/beer-10-150x150.jpg
Cheers, -terry

@terry hall: hmm is TDO Mini Forms a plugin? Sorry not aware of that. You are using custom fields? There is no need to do that with Magazine it just pulls through an image for you so you don't have to use custom fields for it - forgive me if got the wrong end of the stick on that one. My initial thoughts are permissions on the folders of your images - have those changed?

@tlister: Yes TDO Mini Forms is a plugin that does use custom fields and adds images to posts as thumbnails - this is the tag from one of the posts <img src="http://divebarregulars.com/wp-content/uploads/tdomf//5098/beer-10-150x150.jpg" alt="beer-10.jpeg (125 KB)" />
Permissions are set to 705 which do not seem to have changed. (no group permissions).

@terry hall: hmmm I'm thinking it has something to do with that. Whilst I'm not saying I can't help does that plugin have a forum or some place you can see if they have a solution. I can help with regards to the theme but may hit a wall with a plugin that I'm unfamiliar with.

@tlister I will check the other resources and will let you know what I find. Thanks again.

@terry hall: no problem I'll keep an eye out for your update just update this thread and I can take a look see where you are at. We'll get somewhere hopefully and if I can help I will just unfortunately I may hit the boundaries with an unknown plugin. Whilst I can't be 100% sure from my testing and what seems to be going on I'd say that is the culprit. Why is the big wander considering the relative 'minor' nature of the update to WPMU.

@tlister: The problem is definitely a WPMu 2.9.2 conflict with the plugin. I rolled back to 2.9.1 and the images passed through. I haven't got a fix sorted out yet.
Teach me to upgrade with out testing first. Maybe one day I will learn.

@terry hall: :( don't worry I was under the impression this was a mini update with a clash like that it may not be. However, plugin wise it's always best to be very careful on upgrades and you definitely should be saving a copy of your database before you do it.

@thall -
You're using tdo mini forms with MU? How are you dealing with the "dummy" user issue?
Every time there is a comment in my community from an non-registered visitor, it get's attributed to my dummy user. Very annoying!
