I believe I have created my own mess here, but would love it if someone knows an easy way to clean it up.
I have installed and uninstalled BP Template Pack several times as I have tried out different themes for my site. Now that I have decided upon and built a child theme, when I go to assign pages to the BP components, they get assigned permalinks such as: ....members3/groups OR forums3/forums/forum
Today I tried to put in a vanilla install of WP and start from there but ran into some big troubles with my child theme. After restoring the site, I think I know all of the issues that went along with the issues regarding the child theme. So...before I try this all again tomorrow, does anyone know of an easier way to clean up the data? (I assume this is caused by multiple entries in my database?)

If you already have a page/post with that slug then it won't let you create another one. I suspect that when you deleted the previous pages, they were only trashed. You need to actually delete them in order to use those slugs again.

If you are still having issues, perhaps you could explain them... Any errors. We might be able to help :-)
I did try deleting the pages permanently and yet they would still get assigned numerically sequenced. When I went into the database I found there were multiple member, group, blogs, etc entries.
I am starting back at it now; I will let you know if I still have problems with either the child theme or the BP Template pack. Hopefully a day of frustrations will be followed by a day of successes after a good night's sleep!

Hey Isis.

I've attached a few screenshots for you. :-)
Hope this helps. :-)

Odd.... That would usually be the reason for auto incrementing, a post/page already there.
If you do get further issues then just let us know. :-)
