@kenneth
i think we already had the blogs.mu bbpress version in our closet:)
still haven't decide to released or not....need some edits maybe and the go from james.
@James - WHAT?! Why would you do that? I haven't heard any announcement or anything about this! Also, shutting down a newly launched service within it's initial months? Not very Incsubby!!
I very much envied the idea of BlogsMU.. Though the ugly domain, it was such a great intuitive system!
As far as I can assume, I thought it had quite a significant amount of users for a start. Why was the service shut down?
Basically it turned out that people are keener to run their own WPMU systems than they are to have them hosted by someone else, however cool it might be.
So we had to make aa decision to either plough all of our efforts into WPMU DEV (and WP Plugins / WP.MU / BuddyDress etc.) or dilute them with something that wasn't really taking off (apart from with the spammers)
I may have overlooked it but I cant find any information at all on how the log in page is supposed to be done.
In upper right corner to non logged in visitor:
"you-need-to-create-login-page-in-page/"
------------
Also, is there a way to block members from adding the HTML ad code? It seems like that could be a big security issue Plus we will be allowing members to use google ads and other ads on their home page? If that is so it should be limited to premium users.
@Kenneth I wouldn't say that ;) But we are uber focused on bringing you guys the best possible WPMU DEV experience we can, so expect to see this site continue to improve
All the BP themes are not working, I have to delete these themes in my server to see my website again. When I run preview, all the BP themes I just downloaded all white page.
Hi Em, can you confirm you definitely don't have The buddypress template plugin OR backwards compatible one installed on your site? They are the most common reasons why you will have issues.
@dslone "you-need-to-create-login-page-in-page/"
its quite obvious actually:)..should have put some docs on this features..hehe
ok go to wp-admin -> pages -> add new and insert any title you want and write some
content like login intro etc....and choose the template -> member login in your right..
and publish..that should do it:)
cheers
@kingnet
do you mean all bp theme including bp-default not working or...?
As for the lofin thing thats what I originally assumed. But I did create a page login and used login template but the link in the header still said "you-need-to-create-login-page-in-page/"
I think it must have been a cache issue or my temp files as it is working now. Thanks for all the help I appreciate that a lot. I like the features in this theme
I must say that I dont like that big image on the homepage. I do like the green profile/join button. It would look much better if that image were gone and you just had the message and green button. I think visitors have to scroll down too much to see the content. I would like to see an option to remove that image and the space it takes up which would tighten up the look of the homepage
If I Disable the Header Section it give me an almost blank empty homepage. Not only does it remove the 3 sections but it removes all the content on the home page (nothing there but header and footer) . What if someone didnt want to use those 3 sections but they did want the other content to be there?
I placed a Premium Badge widget in the footer but nothing displays
I am getting tons of File does not exist: errors in the Error Log in cPanel
I know you guys have been working on a Membership Plugin. It seems to me that such would really work well with a theme such as BuddyPress BlogsMU. Have both of these developments been considered in the context of the other? Are there any details you could share on how they may support one another?
On the home page above the Group icons it says "Checkout our growing community network, why not join one of them?"
Shouldnt that line be editable in theme options for home page? Do I need to hack a file somewhere to change or remove that?
Also there is some sort of problem in the footer. I am using the Global Footer Content 1.0.1 plugin - With IE the footer appears normally but in firefox the content added by the global footer gets squeezed in to a small column like area.
Feature Request: I would like to see the page nav links added to the bottom of the pages. ie Members: 1..45 pages about member list and below. Otherwise user has to scroll back to top to goto next page.
@terry I would like to see the page nav links added to the bottom of the pages
i see your point here...with a long list of members..one need to scroll back top to go to next page...will add this to update list.
@dslone What if someone didnt want to use those 3 sections but they did want the other content to be there?
i see..will separate the section so one can disable either section or the 3 column widget section.
On the home page above the Group icons it says "Checkout our growing community network, why not join one of them?"
ahh..that spot aren't editable via theme option:)..will add the editable section too on next release..
I've been toying with some mods and it seems from this thread there is a revision underway..
Would be super to connect w/you - have some thoughts - how to go about that.. Pls advise.
Is the bbPress version of this theme guaranteed to be released?
If it is, then I would have to wait for it to come out soon. But if it is still undecided whether to release it or not, then I probably should go for Edublogs theme.
Ok.. guess I could make a list of the questions / suggestions..
Meanwhile - for starters - guessing I'm not the only one who would like to add a few target pages on the top navigation (not admin bar) section. Please advise at soonest how-to get code for correct display on class="selected" - or not - for not working sample below to include an About Us page..?!?
Found the "Checkout our growing community network, why not join one of them?"

I'm sure we can release the bbpress theme, although we've got a few things we're working on now :)
Member — 5th May 2010 #
Any ETA on the bbPress theme please?
Founder & CEO — 5th May 2010 #
Not that soon I'm afraid, although not that far off either... as ya know, we don't do ETAs :)
Founder & CEO — 5th May 2010 #
Oh, unless there's a massive demand for it by lots of other members too - in which case we'll see if we can shunt it up the queue...
Member — 5th May 2010 #
Is it only me that is being redirected to wpmudev.org when typed blogs.mu?
What's happening?
Member — 5th May 2010 #
The new BlogsMU-theme is just what we needed - cool looks and userfriendly.
And just chiming in: A bbPress sister would be SO great.
Founder & CEO — 5th May 2010 #
@Kenneth we've decided to cease offering the blogs.mu service - hence releasing the theme etc. :)

@Richie_KS Great theme! How difficult would it be to implement drop downs?

Does that mean that Incsub won't be developing any new WPMU site in the near future?

When I installed BlogsMU to my website http://www.webew.com, now I have the blank page only. How can I go back to my working community.
I followed this direction.

Help please.
Thank you,

Hi Sue,
I follow the instruction correctly. When I activate it, it goes blank... I also upgraded the BPress before I activate the Blogs MU.
Now I can't even login to my website http://www.webew.com ... Do we have reset button?
Thanks in advance,
Em

Hi Em, can you confirm you definitely don't have The buddypress template plugin OR backwards compatible one installed on your site? They are the most common reasons why you will have issues.
If not sure, deactivate all plugins (other than BuddyPress) and then try again installing the theme as per these instructions - http://premium.wpmudev.org/the-buddypress-manual/installing-and-activating-new-buddypress-themes/
Perhaps if we can get you to install BuddyPress Daily and see how that goes?
Also can you tell us what version of WPMU and BuddyPress you are using?
Member — 7th May 2010 #
Can anyone tell me about the login page? Or direct me to where I can read about it?
I have searched through the settings and docs and I dont see anything about it. Apologies if I have overlooked it
Also are we forced to show the random groups icons and "Be Friend With Them" random members in the sidebar unless we hack the code?

recheck the page and see if templates -> member login were choosen and resave the page.

Where can i change the colour of page text in the headers? They are too dark.
i'd like to have them the same colours as the text in the footers.
Also how can i use use the the colour bar at the very bottom of the theme and replace the 2 greys one, on the white part of the theme??
i mean the rain-social.png instead of the shade-intro.jpg

Ok.. figured-out.. =^_^=
<li<?php if ( bp_is_page( faq ) ) : ?> class="selected"<?php endif; ?>>
"><?php _e( 'FAQ', 'buddypress' ) ?>
Now the FAQ only highlights when it's selected.. whew..
However.. cannot seem to get that same result working with tags... +_+
<li<?php if ( bp_is_page( tag_news ) ) : ?> class="selected"<?php endif; ?>>
"><?php _e( 'News', 'buddypress' ) ?>
Any 'magic' would be Super!

err.. once more with the 'code' function selected... #_#
About and FAQ are Fine
<li<?php if ( bp_is_page( about ) ) : ?> class="selected"<?php endif; ?>>"><?php _e( 'About', 'buddypress' ) ?>
<li<?php if ( bp_is_page( about ) ) : ?> class="selected"<?php endif; ?>>"><?php _e( 'About', 'buddypress' ) ?>
But need help on pointing to Tag..
<li<?php if ( bp_is_page( tag_news ) ) : ?> class="selected"<?php endif; ?>>"><?php _e( 'News', 'buddypress' ) ?>

heh.. Pls pardon my Llama Q's on PHP abc...
For those who needed.. the code on Nav. for Tags is:
<li<?php if ( is_tag( news ) ) : ?> class="selected"<?php endif; ?>>"><?php _e( 'News', 'buddypress' ) ?>
'Code is Poetry'.. when it works.. otherwise a pain in the a$$
