Hello,
We have BuddyPress Daily installed on our site (http://www.generation-europe.eu/summit2010/). The breadcrumbs work correctly for the most part, except not on BuddyPresss-specific pages, i.e. Activity, Members and Groups. On those pages, the breadcrumbs display like this: Home > Title of last blog post > Actual location. We have not modified the breadcrumbs.php file or the custom-functions.php (where the wpbreadcrumbs and bpbreadcrumbs functions are defined). We have even tried restoring the original versions of those files in case something was accidentally modified, but it still doesn't work correctly.

@dpyster: It 'should' work under a sub directory as that is what I run on my test install. However, can you confirm you have not got any plugins activated or if you have deactivate them and what are your permlinks set to? If you can leave on buddypress as that is ok to leave on as a plugin.
We currently have 14 plug-ins installed in addition to BuddyPress, so I guess we'll start working our way through those to find where the conflict might arise.
@dpyster: If you could please as I am unable to recreate this so I do think it's something clashing. However, once you do find out if you can let me know as be good to know what is. I'm not saying I can find a work around but knowing would be a good starting analysis point.
I've been having the same problem with the breadcrumbs. Does anybody know if there was a fix? http://prprofile.com/groups/

WordPress MU 2.9.2
Buddypress Version 1.2.4.1
BuddyPress Daily Child 1
(no version found on bp daily, but archived files were dated 3/28/2010, changelog was empty)
@tonydbaker: Please update your theme and child's style.css making sure you do not over-write the changes you may have made in that file if you have. I'm thinking you're on a very old version. In future if you update buddypress please make sure you update your theme as I don't think you have. Once you do that also make sure you've not got any other plugins on that could cause conflicts so we can test simply.
@tonydbaker: I never did find the culprit plug-in, so we ended up removing the breadcrumbs entirely and using the space for something else. If you want to compare active plug-ins to see if we have any overlap, I'd be happy to do that.
@dpyster: and @tonydbaker: my advice is still remove all and add back one by one once you've got it working - that way you will find out very easily which is at fault.
I did it backwards with the same effect. I removed each plugin one at a time until I had none. I even removed the mu-plugins one at a time. I still get the breadcrumbs problem even with no plugins at all. (except buddypress of course) I'm going to try a fresh install on a new domain.
@tonydbaker: Ok so you are on the latest version of Daily? You've still not confirmed that. My thinking is something has interferred somehow but I'm perplexed as it's a very basic function for the breadcrumbs and really shouldn't be.

Thanks for the prompt response, Tammie!
Our permalinks are set to /%postname%/
