Quick question.
Will this plugin work for non BP WPMU site. I am looking for something similar that will hide certain widgets, ie, the text widget.

Hiya,
This plugin is only meant for BP sites I'm afraid. If there's enough interest we can make a plugin that hides the default WP/WPMU widgets.

You would have to edit the WP/WPMU file to disable them.
