Do you have to have MultiSite AND BuddyPress installed to get Anti-Splog to work?
I have a non-MultiSite BuddyPress install and really need to stop the spammers...

Thanks for being a WPMUDEV member and welcome to the forums.
Anti-Splog is used to stop and kill splogs in WordPress Multisite and BuddyPress.
This is activated on the network and then comes in action if you have got subsite signup enabled.
As the name suggests, its used to kill Spam Blogs and is not used to protect user sign-up. So, its not for a non multisite installation.

For that you may use the below plugins in a combination A comment spam pack containing a range of blocks to even the most stubborn of comment spammers, completely Multisite ready too. Limit who can sign up for a blog or user account at your site by requiring a special code that you can easily configure yourself It will protect comment, registration, and email spam protectionPlease feel free to post if you have any further questions !

Ah, gotcha. I had confused the "splog" term with spam accounts. Thanks for the speedy response and great links. You guys ROCK!

I did a research on splog a few months back and this is where it took me
Splog = Spam Blog
