BuddyPress Plugins
Hi Guys,
The following plugins are now guaranteed to be compatible with BuddyPress. If you find a bug please let us know (along with the steps to recreate the issue):
1) Remove Email Verification:

2) Password at Signup:

Help & Support from WPMU Dev members and staff
Andrew,
I'm finding that the same bug occurs where the inputted password is not used. The user inputs a password and is emailed a different random password when the account is activated.
Version 1.0.5 should fix that issue. There's actually a bug in BP that caused that problem but it was an easy workaround.
Thanks,
Andrew
Thanks!

Hey Andrew,
The plugin works in that the new user is activated but new signups are still receiving the activation email. WPMU 2.7.1 and BuddyPress 1.0. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ricky
Hiya,
I'll look into this tomorrow. I'd definitely consider upgrading BP to at least 1.0.1 though. Security fixes we're made after 1.0 was released.
Thanks,
Andrew
Andrew,
Sorry left off the .2 with my version of BuddyPress. I have 1.0.2 installed. Email verification is going out.
Thanks,
Ricky
Version 1.0.3 is now available. It should resolve the issue described.
Thanks,
Andrew
At first I thought you meant BuddyPress 1.0.3 was available but then I figured it was the remove_email plugin, duh!
The activation email no longer goes out, but neither does the welcome email...you know the one we can personalize form wp-admin/site admin/options.
Not sure if you meant to kill this one as well or if I have done something that would have stopped this myself.
Ricky
Hiya,
The welcome email was being sent on my test install. Can anyone else confirm it not being sent?
Thanks,
Andrew
Just tested it again and it works like a charm. Just the welcome email. Thanks for a great plugin Andy!!!!
Installed the Remove Email Verification plugin in my setup (WPMU 2.8.4a and Buddypress 1.1.2). The plugin does its job very well, but the activation email is still sent. Of course, clicking on the activation link will return an error, although that is not anymore necessary as far as new users are concerned. If there's only a way to stop it from sending the activation message.
