Hello,
I tried changing the avatar picture for a users profile but it doesn't work..
When I upload an image I'm taken to a page that asks me to crop my new avatar image but the image I uploaded doesn't show up.. All I see is 2 question marks... I click crop image then I'm taken to another page that says "There was a problem cropping your avatar, please try uploading it again".. I tested all required image formats (jpg, gif, png) and different image sizes incase this was causing the problem..
Why isn't this working? Can someone please help me fix this problem..I'm new to this website and recently downloaded the social theme and was expecting everything to work fine...

which version of bp and wp/wpmu you're using?
check if your main site blogs.dir/1/files had avatars folder or group-avatars folder
cheers

I'm using buddypress 1.2.1, Social Theme 1.1.8 and not using wpmu
I'm not very familiar with buddypress or wordpress so how do I check this?

go to your site http://FTP..assuming you have access..check if this 2 folder exist
var/www/wp-content/uploads/avatars
var/www/wp-content/uploads/group-avatars
for wordpress bp avatar path only
all the user, blog and group avatars images are placed there...
