In my activity stream I get the error message There was a problem posting your update, please try again. when I try post an update.
I think I've tried just about everything to get this working, but might have, well obviously have missed a few steps here.
The first upgrade went wrong when I didnt upgrade the multidb first, so I restored my backup and started from scratch.
Here's what I did after deactivating all the plugins, buddypress included:
1. Upgraded MultiDB to latest version
2. Upgraded Wordpress MU to 2.9.2
3. Added bp_activity and bp_activity_meta to db-config.php global tables as described in http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/buddypress-upgrades-with-multi-db#post-28120
4. Deleted old bp corporate and added the new ones
5. Added this patch http://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/1999 to resolve the activity issue, also discussed in this thread http://buddypress.org/forums/topic/there-was-a-problem-posting-your-update-please-try-again
6. Upgraded and activated new Buddypress
7. Activated new theme
Are there any more tables I need to add or anything else i need to do?
I see some stuff about moving tables, but not quite clear on what that might be.
Thanks for the help,
George

Hiya,
I'm a bit confused. In this thread you say you upgraded Multi-DB before BP but in your other thread you were asking about upgrading Multi-DB after upgrading BP:
http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/buddypress-12-no-site-wide-posts-caused-by-multi-db
We need to know which one is the case before we can assist with this.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hey Andrew, apologies for the confusion.
I did both... I first upgraded MultiDB after buddypress, but just couldn't get it to work and wasnt sure about the tables. In a hurry to try and fix it, I restored my backup to start from scratch. Then I followed the process above to see if I can fix it, but that didnt work either.
The activity is fixed now. Found someone to check it out who said..
Still left with 2 problems though..
1. My site wide posts blog posts are not working / not displaying
2. Cannot send private messages, get the error message: "There was an error sending that message, please try again"
I see someone else reported the same problem in this thread.. http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/cannot-send-private-messages-in-bp-121-caused-by-multi-db
I also cannot access any of the previous messages.
My biggest concern is the site wide posts, not sure if its related to the activity issue.
Thanks,
George
