I had MarketPress Lite installed. After seeing how it worked I got MarketPress. I have installed three products and they do not display in the product list when I click Products. Everything else appreas to be working fine. Any suggestions on fixing this will be appreciated.

Hi Emersonh,
Could you let us know a bit more detail on your setup? Which version of Wordpress and MarketPress you're using? Which theme?
And actually, could you momentarily switch to Twenty Ten to see if the issue persists? That would certainly help to rule out a theme issue.
Thanks,
David

Thank you for your reply.
I am using the Genesis Framework for WordPress from StudioPress v1.6.1. The MarketPress version that I am using is 2.05.
I installed MarketPress on two Genesis sites. One with the Midnight Genesis Child Theme and the other with the Lifestyle Child Theme. Each had different issues.
Per your suggestion, I applied the Twenty Ten WordPress theme to each installation. MarketPress worked as it is supposed to. No problems. So it has to be a theme issue.
I had installed MarketPress Lite on each site previously and entered sample products to see how things worked. I deleted MarketPress Lite from each site and installed MarketPress.
Now the site with the Lifestyle Child theme does not show my products in the product list. Instead, it shows an image of test product that I had created and deleted. http://smallbusinessemarketingcoach.com/store/products/
The site with the Midnight Child theme does show my product list, but the first item on the list was a test product that I had installed with MarketPress Lite and deleted. http://ideclairmedia.com/store/products/
Another problem is that the feature image is at the top of my Product pages instead of aligned left. http://ideclairmedia.com/store/products/mugs/
When I go to Store and click a category, there is an old image that appears in the category list . http://ideclairmedia.com/store/products/category/ebooks
My question now is, is there a way to delete all MarketPress Lite and MarketPress files and tables and do a clean installation? I think that might help to resolve my issues.

Hi Emersonh, I'm not totally sure it's the culprit but if you could try deleting all the plugin files manually via FTP then copying back over a fresh copy of version 2.0.6 it would help us to rule out any stray files causing the issue.
Could you give that a try and let us know if that resolves it?
Thanks,
David

Hi Emersonh,
Have you by any chance tried asking Genesis support what might cause the issues here? My guess is they'd be able to spot the issue quickly knowing the theme framework.
Cheers,
David

I will check with them today and get back to you. Thanks for checking back.

I have checked with StudioPress and these are some questions that they have for me. In turn, my questions for you are in italic
When you uninstalled the plugin make sure it deleted data from the db. Does MarketPress create a database? Does it name the database? If so, what is the name?
If switching back to midnight made old products show again - check to see if the plugin added files to the theme folder. Does MarketPress add files to the theme folder? What should I look for to check on this?
If you can isolate and present the MarketPlace code responsible for each issue we would be glad to look at it to see what problems it is having with Genesis. This is beyond my ability. Any guidence will be appreciated. Probably need to look at each problem separately.
Thanks

Greetings Emersonh :-)
Does MarketPress create a database?
it uses the site database and keeps the products in the POST Table
Does MarketPress add files to the theme folder?
no
From what I can tell MarketPress presents the items as regular posts to the theme though the products must be added via Products -->Create New
not as a regular Post -->New
As mentioned above it adds the Products to the regular site database in the Post Table.
Hope this helps :-)
Joe :-)

Thanks for helping out there, Joe! I've asked one of the developers to take a look at this as well, as they'd be better able to assess any Genesis specific compatibility issues.
Also to note, the lite version of the plugin is fully accessible for testing purposes at the following:

Hey there, there's little I can do without looking through the theme files. If you could send your themes through to contact@incsub.com and link to this thread I'll look when I get a chance.

Try MarketPress 3.1.3 to see if it solves it.

Great! 2.1.3 works. I installed MarketPress 2.1.3 on a new Genesis WordPress site. It worked fine.
