I didn't put in a custom image for the first group that everyone currently belongs to, but now I'll be using the groups feature and want to be able to customzie that avatar.
Trouble is... it's pointing to gravatar right now, so there isn't an image that I can just swap out. And for the life of me, I can't figure out how to change the picture away from it!
How do you change the avatar for an existing group in Buddypress if it's currently set to Gravatar?

Hello, @teach42, and welcome to WPMU Dev. You should be able to update the group avatar by going to the group's admin page and there should be a link to the group avatar where you can change it. It will look something like the attached screenshot.

Interesting. That sub-menu that you are referring to doesn't show up in the Social theme from this site.
I changed my theme back to default, saw the menu you are referring to, and changed the avatar, so thanks a ton for that.
But you should probably submit a ticket to get that fixed in the Social theme!

Hiya teach42,
What version of this theme are you using?
I'm testing with 1.2.2 (latest as of now) and it's showing for me.
Thanks!

1.2.2 DID fix it. Problem solved! Thanks for letting me know about that update. Solved several other problems as well.
