I have both the avatar plugin and the rebranding plugin installed. My problem is that everytime I try to change the login screen logo or the avatar it won't work.
For avatar: I tried the first option (upload) and I get a box asking me to select the part I want but I don't actually see an image. The option to use alternate upload gives me an error line: Error uploading file but then I see "avatar updated".
For the login logo (LOGIN IMAGE) - it just says error uploading file and goes back to the original screen. The image I am using is a jpg and the exact dimension requested.
Would these problems with the plugin or settings/permissions on my server?

Thanks Andrew. I will find out. In the meantime, The global admin bar php file is all over the log. Do you know what would be causing that? Is there a plugin that depends on it? You can also see that we are getting errors on the "friend" search.

Hiya,
We'll look into the friends error. However, for the admin bar error you need to start a new thread in the themes forums mentioning the theme you are using as that's a theme problem. Obviously we can only support our themes though.

Thanks Andrew. I learned today that we are having some server issues so I am going to wait till they are resolved and try everything again. I am certain the friends issue was before the server problems so that may very well still exists. If there are still problems with the theme I will post in the appropriate location if it is one of your themes!

Nah, the plugins work fine. Can you please check your error log for relevant errors and post them here?

Ok, finally got access to the error log. I am not sure what I am looking for. Can you help? (I replaced the dev server URL with xxx)

I am seeing a lot of:
Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error.
script '/xxx/wp-content/themes/global-adminbar.php' not found (MANY OF THIS ONE!)
unable to stat, referer: http://xxx/wp-admin/friends.php?page=find-friends
File does not exist: wp-content/themes/edu-clean/_inc/css/custom.css, referer: http://xxxxx.com/wp-content/themes/edu-clean/style.css

Yeh, none of those are related to the plugins you mentioned.
What are the permissions on the following directories?
wp-content/login-image/
wp-content/avatars/
wp-content/avatars/user/
wp-content/avatars/blog/
