Hope that this is the right place for my question :)
Anyway, I was looking at the Changing permissions page and I saw that I need to set the public_html and wp-content to 777 and that I need to delete the .htaccess file in the home directory.
Isn't that risky, specially that it will give everyone the Writing and Executing abilities

I do not know where that page came from or why someone put it there indicating those permissions because you are absolutely right that this would be a major security risk as the instructions are written and nobody would/should want to do this.
Please disregard that page for the time being and I am very thankful you pointed it out.
I will get on the hunt for why this page exists in it's current format.
