Logged in as Admin, I can post to Classifieds (actually haven't tried it, but at least the New Post comes up).
Logged in as Subscriber (with Ultimate Facebook registration, with BuddyPress installed), upon logging in, I'm taken to the Dashboard. To the left, there's a "Classifieds" menu link. Then I click the post new classifieds listing link and get this error: "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page." (i.e. no New Post comes up)
But at my BuddyPress user profile for Classifieds ( website.com/members/username/classifieds/create-new/ ), it shows the form for me to post a new listing.
Please fix.

HI Clifford!
Can you submit anything with this form?
Do you have a user role assigned to you membership level?
Looks like you get stuck with me agian :)

No special membership settings.
Last night I was able to post a classified ad as a regular account (registered via Ultimate Facebook), but once the listing was posted (more like as the listing was posting), it took me to my personal profile's website, as such: http://www.MyProfile'sWebsite.com/classifieds/my-classifieds/ instead of http://www.TheClassifiedsWebsite.com/classifieds/my-classifieds/
But before it gets there, I see this flash on the screen: http://ScrnSht.com/xdedlz (yikes!)

Found another aggravating permissions issue...
Subscriber created a Classifieds listing.
Administrator clicked to "Move to Trash" and I got this error message: "You are not allowed to move this item to the Trash."
That's ridiculous.

I logged in as the Subscriber that posted the Classified ad and it was simple and easy to delete. Administrator should be able to do anything though.

But then I went to Edit one of my other ads (as the Subscriber) and got error: "You are not allowed to edit this item."
OMG!!! grrr!

I've got someone else coming by to check this out and offer some input.
Have you tried clearing your cache between login/logouts?
Also, are you using the same email for your Admin and Subscriber test account?

different emails, cache cleared, tried on multiple computers. awaiting follow-up.

Clifford,
I've asked the developer to stop by,
I was discussing this with my colleague and we want to check if your by any chance running custom post types or Directory plugin (which both casue a conflict) with classifieds.
The only thing I can think of is a permissions conflict of some kind.

Clifford,
Just checking in!
We've had some re-assignments to a few of our plugins and this one was on the list, so we have a new developer taking over.
Are you still having trouble with this or do you need me to have him stop in? I will need to contact him directly until he gets caught up with the flagging system is why I ask :)
Best,
Kimberly

I just released a new version last night. 2.1.6 Have you updated?
Member (joined November 2011) Likes (0)
I did this morning. I have tested again...
:(
Logged in:
http://site.com/classifieds/my-classifieds/ is blank.
:)
I can now update my own Classified listing.
:(
However, on top of the green confirmation message, I get this error:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /nas/wp/www/cluster-1077/wpengineusername/wp-content/plugins/classifieds/core/core.php on line 560
:(
Also, see this newly-reported error: http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/why-does-my-credits-show-up-in-each-persons-account-if-i-disabled-paying-for-credits#post-194750

Did you perhaps remove a tag or category when editing? The foreach error is trying to run through the list of categories or tags for that ad and got an empty list when it tried to save. I need to fix with a warning that it's a required field but need to figure out why your ad doesn't have a cat or tag attached or being sent when you edit.

Greetings Clifford,
Just checking in where we are on this issue. I can clearly see that our new Developer Arnold is trying to work through it with you.
What is the current status with this issue please? Are you guys working this off forum?
Cheers, Joe

Arnold has Admin access to the site in question, but since his login a couple weeks ago, I haven't heard anything from him other than he's still looking into things...

At this point Classifieds and Buddypress do not work and play well together. I'm reworking Custompress at present which is used by Classifieds. Then I'll do Classifieds and get them working with Buddypress and then Directory. So I'm afraid it's going to be some time before I have a usable answer.

Thanks Arnold!
I will go ahead and close this thread as Arnold has agreed that there is a solution in the works that will be provided via update in the future.

@Arnold
The reason I chose Classifieds over CustomPress was because I was told (in the forums somewhere) that they could accomplish the same things, but Classifieds has some really cool BuddyPress integration. So I hope you're saying that the BP-integration isn't perfect but eventually will be fixed; not that it will be changed to become non-BP-integrated.
And I was told that Classifieds and Directory couldn't be enabled together, but I did and haven't noticed major issues (just the integration with CustomPress gets confused on some fields - not sure which plugin(s) are to blame).

No Classifieds right now doesn't work at all well with Buddypress and that needs to be fixed. And yes eventually all three shouldget along together. In fact Classifieds depends on Custompress. A new version of Custmpress is coming out as soon as they get the documentation done whichsolves a lot of these problems. ( I hope :-)
