The new WP (v.3.3+) Welcome panel presented to new users is a bit much for custom branded multisites. The option to make it go away completely is great. However, the intent behind it has great value; to provide first-time users with helpful information and links to resources.
Given that the underlying program logic is already there as to when/how to present that Welcome screen... how about giving us the option to edit the content of the Welcome screen?
This would be great, turning around the Welcome screen turn-off into a really useful feature to present new users to our branded multisite!
(Please?)
Thanks!

That would indeed be a great option for branding. Perhaps feedback and votes could be added here:

Unfortunately not, sorry.
When we do have an update, we'll be sure to update our project page. :)
Take care.
