Is it possible to add custom text and/or html to the posts that autoblog creates? For example, before and/or after the content, etc.
Thanks.

You go us the Simple Ads plugin and add text instead of ads embed code. http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/simple-ads/.

Thanks for the quick reply. That seems like it could work except for one problem, it doesn't seem that you can control the text or "ads" on a per-category basis.
If different ads could be shown based on category then I'd probably go that route...
It would be ideal to have the functionality available for each feed individually. Any other ideas?
Thanks.

The only other idea I can think of is modifying the plugin to create different categories.

Hi @ifanatics
I would have to agree with @xaviemirmon on this one. The Simple Ads plugin would be ideal for this, however, you would have to make some custom modifications to allow for it to handle different categories.
I searched to see if anyone else attempted something like this before, but could only find this topic with some custom modification:
Site by Site Activation for Simple Ads
All the best with your project and let us know if you need any further support.

I guess I was just hoping there would be an easy way to do this through the plugin. I'm pretty sure I've used another autoblogging plugin that had this feature built-in, so it seems it's possible.
Would be a great option to be able to add custom before and/or after text or html to posts generated by the autoblog plugin. Configurable either by feed or category.
Any other ideas are appreciated.

Greetings ifanatics,
Thank you for your additional feedback, it is greatly appreciated.
I am going to go ahead and move this into our feature requests section and alert the lead developer of the request.
This is our best hope of ever having this built in.
Cheers, Joe

If you want the content to be permanently at the top and/or bottom of the post then you can do this by building an add-on for the plugin. Though it depends on your coding ability as to how advanced you go - if it's hardcoded text, then that's the easiest :), it's not that difficult to do.
If that is the type of thing you were considering / after then let me know and I can direct you to the steps needed to accomplish it.
