Ok, here's the situation:
WPMU set up -
main site: http://www.iamstaggered.com
sub-blogs: http://www.iamstaggered.com/directory and /usa
I've got Events+ added on .com/directory which is where companies add their own events. I want to display the widget on the front page of iamstaggered.com and have it populated with .com/directory's events.
I'm feeling optimistic - that has to be possible right?
If so, how?

So it's definitely possible.
First make sure you have the Post Indexer plugin installed:
http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/post-indexer
This puts all posts across the network into one table so that they can be then queried by other products.
Note: The Post Indexer plugin only indexes new posts. Any posts created before the plugin is installed will not be pulled into the new global table.
Our Recent Global Posts Widget should do the trick for ya:
http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/recent-global-posts-widget/
You can use the new widget to pull posts from any site on your entire network. For your purposes here, limiting it to a post_type of events will mean only events created on your sub-site will be shown in this widget.
Hope that helps! Thanks!

Greetings iamstaggered,
Thank you for this significant question though I am not sure exactly what you are asking, therefore I shall rephrase.
If I understand you correctly, you want to be able to have events posted on sub sites to be displayed on the main site?
Please advise.
Cheers, Joe

Thanks for this (although again I didn't receive any email notifications, which is really starting to get old!)
@Mason - I've done all that but I can't find another post type (EDIT: I realised it might only create them after they were published, I was right - thus I am the genius (but confusingly also the idiot))
@Joe - thanks for your help.
@kyleb - congrats for the forthcoming - maybe our other site http://www.wearethedads.com will come in handy after the honeymoon :)

Hiya @iamstaggered,
We're looking into the thread email update issue. You're not alone, but it seems to be happening intermittently. What browser are you using?
@kyleb, congrats!
Glad this all helped. Are we good to mark the original issue resolved?
Thanks!
