Hi
I am using bp daily theme, installed and activated Events plugin, have gone through the configuration process , created a view events page with [eab_archive] short code but none of the created events is showing. I have different appearance settings, tried the default word press theme, disabled other plugins but it is still not showing

Hello UC!
Sorry to hear you are having trouble with this.
Can you provide a quick screenshot of where you are grabbing the shortcode? Just to make sure we are on the same page.
I would also ask that you check to ensure that all of your dates for your events are in the future, the Events archive page (which is actually the yoursite.com/events/ page by default, fyi just incase you want to use a custom menu item instead of a shortocde you can)
Can you also check to see if you can view the archive page created by the plugin?
Best,
Kimberly

Hi Kimberly,
I am able able to view event archive in calender format by clicking on the link on your screenshot or creating a custom link to yoursite.com/events/ but now when I create a page and add the short code. Also the dates are in the future

Would it be possible for me to have a link to the page that is not working?

Checking the page in Firefox that you sent the link to looks great,
IE9 it indeed loses formatting, but it's not just the plugin, it seems to be the theme as well.
There also seem to be some JS errors when using the developer tools in IE9 to look at the page.
I'll see if the developer can comment on this :)

Hello,
It seems that the page is loading multiple jQuery versions, one of which is quite ancient (v1.3.2) which causes all kinds of issues, especially in IE. The offending jQuery library version seems to be coming from the "wordpress plugin random post slider" plugin directly. Can you please try disabling the plugin and see if that helps?

Hi VeBailovity,
I have disabled a couple plugins. The In Post Ad and ultimate facebook plugins affected it the most. Overall any plugin with jqeury would cause the to loose formatting. What can I do to prevent this from happening as I really need the ultimate facebook
Thanks

Hi,
Ultimate Facebook and In Post Ads are not the cause of the issue - they rely on a recent jQuery version which is shipped bundled with WordPress, just like Events+. As I said, the problem on your site is the ancient jQuery version, which is forcefully included by "wordpress plugin random post slider" plugin. Any recent plugin that relies on jQuery will most likely throw errors because of this. Can you please make sure that there aren't any multiple jQuery inclusions on your pages, and that the included jQuery version is a decent one, preferably the one bundled with WordPress?

Hi VeBailovity,
I did disable wordpress plugin random post slider. Nothing changed then I had disable all plug in. I found some other plugins that only affect the formatting of the events page. But these two Ultimate Facebook and In Post Ads affects the whole site formatting.
Would you like me to send login info for you to have look if so can where do I send.

Hello,
Thank you for this. I noticed there's really a lot of plugins active on your site - and it's a part of the cause for the issue too. There is a limit to how many external stylesheets Internet Explorer will apply (30 or 31) and how many style rules it will apply (4096, according to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262161 - actually, you can easily test this limitation for yourself by visiting http://john.albin.net/ie-css-limits/link-with-additional-links-test.html in IE and, say, Firefox, and checking the results in the bottom table titled "Tests").
A quick count on the problematic page shows that there's easily some 40+ link elements on the page, which means that the Events+ stylesheet (as well as quite a few others, probably) isn't being applied in IE. I really suggest that you remove *all* the plugins you don't actually use - not only that this will eventually solve the issue (if you remove enough of them), but it will also significantly speed up your site.

Hi VeBailovity,
Thanks for the insight on how IE handles external stylesheets. I have been able to get it formated properly. I used css and jss optmizer to achieve that for now. I will take my time to clean it up eventually.
@Kimberly once again thanks for getting the developer on this.
