Hi! I need a global posts feed for my site. The problem is that only logged in users should see the recent blog content --> eg. if there is a private BP group with a BP group blog, non-logged users should not see the posts in the widget. Non-logged in users could see only the blog posts from public BP groups.
EDIT: I found a partial solution: While using Multisite Privacy plugin, I can exclude blogs from the Recent post widget with privacy setting "Visitors must have a login". But now nobody can see the posts in the Recent Posts Widget. --> is it possible to set the plugin somehow follow the user rights in multisite privacy --> so a logged in user would see the posts from the blogs that she is registered to in the recent posts widget?

Hi there!
Sorry you are having trouble with this.
Let me ask
if there is a private BP group with a BP group blog
are these showing in the Widget? I always thought that a private BP group would not show.
If you have a specific list of blogs then you can go this route

Yes,
In case there is a private BP group with a BP group blog
it will show in the widget. In case I set "user must be logged in" for the blog in question in multisite privacy options, only then the posts are blocked from the main buddypress site's widget. This is not ideal for me, but I guess I can live with it...

I'll see if we can move this to a feature request and get the developer to comment. :)
Barry, can we somehow get the Recent Posts Widget to respect Buddypress Group Privacy settings?
