I have both the Ultimate Facebook and Chat plugins enabled in a multisite setup. I have setup the Facebook app in the Chat plugin correctly and in the Application Id and Secret.
When I log out to test it and try the Facebook login option a pop up comes up real quick and then dissappears without logging me in. Any idea why this ins't working?

Just as a note I did make sure that the website with Facebook login option in the Facebook app is set to the sub-domain as indicated in the app setup instructions.

Please upload attached Chat plugin and then go into Settings -> Chat -> Facebook API and set 'Facebook Connet Used in Site' to 'Yes' . I believe this should fix the issue.
Make sure Ultimate Facebook and Chat use the same App Ids. i.e. single site cannot have multiple Facebook apps

Okay, so I uploaded the files from the fileset above. I saw the "Facebook Connet Used in Site? (e.g. Facebook Ultimate Connect)"
If I say Yes then I don't get the FB Login box on the chat page.
If I say No then I do get the FB Login box but the following happens:
* I click on the FB Login box and a Facebook login window appears.
* I enter my login information and press the Login button and the window disappears
* There is no change to the Chat page on my blog.
If I refresh the chat page then it believes I am not logged in. If I press the FB Login button then nothing happens. If I visit the facebook website it believes I am logged in.
If I log out from Facebook on the Facebook.com website and then refresh the Chat page on my blog then press the FB Login button on my blog then the Facebook login window will appear.

Unfortunately this hasn't fixed the problem.
I used the FB Login box. As before I submitted my FB details. The FB Login window disappeared but the chat page did not refresh. I checked my FB page and it believed I was logged in.
I then manually refreshed the chat page and this then got stuck in a continuous loop of refreshing. To stop this I opened my FB page back up again and manually logged out of FB. When I re-entered the chat page (tab in google chrome) the refresh stopped and the chat room appears. I sent some messages and it appeared that the chat-room had no idea who I was (image attached)

Just to provide a key to the previous image - the erroring image on the left is supposed to be the avatar - the darker green circle is the border of an empty block that should contain the username.
If I can be of any further help please ask. I am happy to test a version with debug outputs to provide any assistance I can.

HI Paul, I'm travelling at the moment, currently in Juba, Southern Sudan, and it appears that the IP address I'm currently behind is being blocked by Spamhaus, which means I can't get into the website (!) to test the new version.
As soon as I am able to get onto the website I will take a look straight away.
If you want to look for yourself then please do - the website is at http://www.thegamescast.com - click on the "Live Chat" button in the navigation bar at the top - it's pretty quiet most of the time except on Fridays between 20:00 and 23:00 GMT which is when we do our live radio show.
I'll let you know once I've uploaded the version you've attached above.
I just tried the Facebook Login and seemed to work. Clicked on the login button. Received the standard popup for user credentials. Secondary popup page to confirm access by thegamecast.com to access my account. Popup closes and the page refreshes showing the chat input box and the icon toolbar at the top. And with the 'sign out of Facebook' buttons showing. The sign out process works the same way. Click the button, the page refreshes and we are back to initial state.

Hi Phil and Paul, I am having the same problems as Phil had. Although Phil says they are fixed I went to his site and get caught in and endless loop of selecting the Facebook logging and it bouncing me out of it over and over.
I downloaded the beta and then my site went on a flashing spree. A video on the site flashed on and off as did the Facebook login box and I basically had to just deactivate it. This plugin is just perfect for what I am doing and so I would greatly appreciate some support on this. It was the Entire reason I bought the subscription to wpmudev.
I am getting nervous that this problem has been going on in the forum for a month and I need it to work at the end of this week.
My site is epacelearning.org but it is not active at the moment.

@JudiKnight, can you add the chat plugin shortcode to a private part. Then email me the private password at paul [at] incsub.com. I tested the plugin beta on a number of site and didn't see that problem.
Also, can you advise what version of WordPress, what theme and what other plugins you are running. Also, I might suggest you clear your browser cache.

@JudiKnight, Check that. I just took a chance and went to your site and see the chat box at the bottom of the page. When I try the FB login I also get the repeated reloading of the page. I'm going to try and investigate this. Site tight. Don't change anything.

Hey there.
I find that whilst not logged into Facebook the window will open and you can log into FB but then nothing happens.
If you are already logged into FB then no window opens for me.
I'll ask our developer to take a look at this.

I did what you said and it is still doing the same thing. API's are the same and I updated the connect option. Any other thoughts?
