Not quite - when you are on the members page there is an option to write on their wall / leave a message. A public way of leaving a message simmilar to how facebook have it (and how the boodyboss theme have it...)
Spent the day looking through the code and playing around - not there yet but best way to learn php - still a n00b ;)

Do you mean like the @username option? Where you put @username and your message for it appear on their wall?
If so then sure, thats built right in there with BuddyPress :-)

I like that theme from BuddyBoss as well, nice and clean. :-)

Odd, I'm you use to be able to go to their profile and post. Maybe that was a past option with older templates......
I see the option now is public or private message.
I'm sure it could still be handled by the template though. Perhaps have a look a the BuddyBoss code for ideas. :-)
