The plugin is only compatible with WP Mutlisite. It is not meant to run without multisite enabled. Actually would be of no use there either.

Hi Aaron,
I too downloaded the Ad Sharing plug in without having a Wordpress Multi-site. Is there any way, at all, that this plug in could be enabled?
If not, then could you point me towards a similar one? I feel quite stupid, that I may have just wasted money purchasing a plug in that doesn't work.

It's annoying that when I google for this, Google keeps replacing "ad" with "adsense" Anyone else think that's kind of bias?
There's these but they may be out of date:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/adsense-revenue-sharing/
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/share-adsense-eranings/
You should have received an admin contact email address when your purchase. Even though the ad sharing plugin page does state that it;s for wordpress multiuser, you may want to contact them about the concern.

The new version of the plugin now supports ad sharing with authors and contributors on singlesite installs.
