Hi,
I have installed autoblog for my MU sites
and when i test it on my local server it works perfectly but with same settings when i deploy on my main server it says feed not found ..
I have tried all various methods to call feed but with no result
URL/MU-URL/blog/category/estate-planning/feed/
url/MU-URL/blog/?cat=48&feed=rss2
I have checked my permalinks, i have tested using tweeter feed and it displays perfect 20 feeds from tweeter account,
I have fully replicated my local server settings on my main server
It is working fine on local server
Looking forward to your response.

Hello Xavier!
Have you made sure to check your database tables?
http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/autoblog/#usage
Make sure you have them set up as stated in the instructions above. Do you see anything when you process it?
Are you feeding from a site on your local server?
Have you double checked the rss feed url? tried without just feed and not feed/?
Sometimes it's a tedious detail, but ruling them out is important too :)
Any more information would be helpful as well
Best,
Kimberly

Hi thanks for responding below are the answers to your questions
Have you made sure to check your database tables?
-Yes our phpmyadmin has wp_autoblog table and it seems to be working fine.
Are you feeding from a site on your local server?
-Yes we have a internal dev server which uses http auth to prevent external viewing.
Have you double checked the rss feed url? tried without just feed and not feed/?
-Yes i did try doing that but still didnt work.
Any other info you need ?
Its a LAMP environment, wondering if folder permission could be causing any issues maybe
We are using wordpress 3.3.1, and autblog 3.7 and php5
Server version: 5.1.41-3ubuntu12.10
Thanks looking forward to hearing

Hey Xavier,
I understand the delay in this thread and appreciate your patience on this one. Please accept my apologies for the same.
I am doing some research on this issue and trying to replicate this issue which might take a while, so before I go ahead I would like to know,
Is the setup on Local env and Live site exactly the same ?
Is it a subfolder install? I mean, have you got wordpress installed in a subdomain on the server (Live site) ?
Did you do that using Autoblog or Twitter app ?
What is the current structure ?
Sorry for shooting too many questions however that would help me understand the issue in a better way and move towards a proper resolution.
Also, if you could provide us with screenshots of what your settings are on the local environment and the live site respectively so that we can get them reviewed by our experts and find a suggestion/solution for you ?
Please advise
Cheers

Hi
Thanks for the update, here are the answers to your query and screenshot
Q: Is the setup on Local env and Live site exactly the same ?
Is it a subfolder install? I mean, have you got wordpress installed in a subdomain on the server (Live site) ?
A: Yes Live site has been replicated from local site, no its not a sub-folder install.
Basically the live server is our internal server and local was my personal machine.
Q: Did you do that using Autoblog or Twitter app ?
A: I used auto blog (as was stated in one of the solutions on forum), it worked fine and displayed me 20 tweets,
Q:What is the current structure ?
/%postname%/ This is same for my local and our live server
Attached are the screen shots and you can see from the debug screen shot that we tried all kind of URL (as suggested in your forums) but some how it doesnt work on our live server (where as all those URL for feed worked perfectly on my local server)
The first file is local server autoblog setting
Second file is setting for one of the multi site we tried testing
Third file is the debug window
All help appreciated
thanks

Greetings Xavier,
Just jumping in here with a screen shot of a trace route of your domain poppy.no-ip.info and it does not resolve as shown in the screen shot.
I also pinged the server and no response.
Could this indeed be the cause of this issue?
Please advise why the server domain does not route.
Cheers, Joe

Greetings Xavier,
Thank you for the answers.
Please give us the URL to the external setup.
It is virtually impossible to troubleshoot the internal setup from outside and as I have shown above the domain does not resolve - because it is indeed internal.
In addition, it would be foolish to try to resolve the issue on the internal network since as you clearly stated: It is working fine on local server
We sincerely want to help you but as we have seen a hundred times if not a million, when people try internal development and it hits the REAL world environment on a production server many issues pop up and on the other hand many times issues are resolved, especially those related to PayPal IPN issues.
Looking forward to the URL for the production server so that we may indeed try to figure out why your having this reported issue.
Please advise.
Cheers, Joe
