Can you look in (I think) the site option table in phpmyadmin and see how many of those slash marks are being saved before the quotes? Should be one but I have a feeling that you'll see three or five.
The slashes are how mysql tells if one of those quotes are actually the start or end of a data field or really should be there.

It's trying to escape " in the html, but don't think ' will work because I had
