Hi Harsha,
You will need to create a group first if you haven't done that yet

Hello Harsha,
Greetings !
I understand you are facing issues with BuddyPress groups. I found that you have already started a post here http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/how-to-set-group-forum
Kim posted her suggestion on the post, did that not serve your purpose ? If not, you may mark the topic as not resolved, that way it will open again and visible in our ticketing system.
Please advise so that I can look for some more solutions for you !
Please accept my apologies regarding not getting a response. At times support team gets a lot of queries at the same time and can get over loaded. However we always try to answer as soon as possible.
Cheers

As per the Screenshot of Kimberly, the forum tab should appear on the left side of the dashboard, thou i have installed Forum it is not appearing on the left side of dashboard.
Please find the screenshot http://imgur.com/CUG01. I am unable to find that. Now according to your above replay. I should install any one ??

1)Forums for Groups or
2) New! Site Wide Forums ???
Please be more specific. I am unable to follow through.
Please revert ASAP.

And in the meantime, I just installed Forums http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/forums/
on my lab site, and activated it. And it shows up fine.
So I would request you to follow the standard Plugin troubleshooting protocol.
Disable all plugins except Forums
See if the Forum tab appears at the left
If yes, then activate the plugins one by one and see which plugin causes the issue to appear.
I doubt it might be the contact plugin you have installed and the menu number might be causing the issue.
I would be waiting for the details as requested by me on the previous post and hopefully that will help me in finding out what is causing the issue.
Cheers
