I've installed the plugin and am currently working on my new website at http://67.18.16.242/~bquality. The membership area is free, but once I sign up and register: http://67.18.16.242/~bquality/become-a-member/ the account doesn't become active automatically. What do I do to make the accounts automatically become active?

Also, when I test the registration page, it says:
"You currently have a subscription for the Members Area subscription. If you wish to sign up a different subscription then you can do below."
But then there are no options below. Please help, thank you!

@bkbroiler8233 have a look at http://premium.wpmudev.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Membership-Docs-3028.pdf I would have a look espcially at pgs. 11-12. I added an account under WPMUTEST and I see the issues. I think there are some settings that aren't quite right. I would have a look at the manual as it is written by the developer of the plugin. Hope that helps!

Hey xaviemirmon,
Thanks for your reply but pages 11-12 didn't really help with my problem. I did notice how you registered but your account wasn't active.
After reading pages 11-12 I'm still stuck. Are there any specific settings that I'm missing?

Also, when I try to create a new subscription plan and I click "add" it says "Subscription not added."

Unfortunately, I am not super knowledgeable about the in's and out's of the membership plugin. I would go through the manual as much as time allows because you'll find some features you probably didn't know existed. http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/remove-email-verification-from-signup/ This might help but it's meant for multisite and I don't think you are using multisite. If you aren't using a multisite I would wait for the WPMU Dev Staff to get back to you on this

Hey @bkbroiler8233
Let me try and help.
To make the accounts active, go to Membership > options > General Tab (default) > User Registration area > Tick "Enable incomplete accounts". See the screenshot attached.
The trouble with "Subscription not added." is to do with your database. Go to the Advanced Tab on the options page. Click "Repair Membership tables". That should do it.
Good luck!

Hey Arun,
As for the active problem I was having, I figured it out last night (and your instructions were correct by the way!)
As for the Subscription not added, I repaired the membership tables like you said and it works! Thanks so much!
