I've started translating a few of your plugins to Greek and I will be posting any files I complete back here.
The first one to be completed is the chat plugin.

Well, there's obviously something wrong with the way this plugin implements internationalization... Can someone explain to me why in this plugin instead of 'chat' it is $this->translation_domain ??

Hiya @aristath,
We'd love to have your help in getting German translations of this plugin. The translation_domain is defined on line 39 of wordpress-chat.php and is simply 'chat'.
You should be able to use the included POT file to create the files you need though.
Let us know if you have any additional trouble though. Thanks!
