I'm very frustrated right now as I can't seem to figure out how to post any blogs/stories directly onto my home page I've only been able to createa widget column on the homepage and stories onto my catgories but not directly onto my HOME site. Also I can't seem to figure out to ge tthe LogIn/Sign Up buttom on the home page either? I'm attempting for a social theme where they can log-in to create forums, add friends, blog etc. Any help with this would be awesome.

@jessicarobaina: All you do is the following to get it to work:
1. Sign in: Make sure under your site settings you have allow people to sign up activated - once you do them you will have the button appear. This would be under wp-admin/ and site settings > options > allow new registrations (this should be set to enabled). If this is set to that and you still have an issue please activate the default BuddyPress theme and tell me if you get the same issue or not so we can see if it's a theme issue or not. I mentioned this in another thread you started on the same subject. If possible can you try and keep on one thread as it makes it easier for me to follow things for you.
2. I assume you mean posts from your main blog as magazine is designed to do that on the front page. What you have to do is go to appearance > theme options and set the category for your featured image and home posts.
If you still can't set those after following these instructions please post back a link to your site so I can see what is going on.
To create posts that show directly on your homepage you need to log into your main blog and go to Posts > New Post ( http://help.edublogs.org/2009/07/29/writing-your-first-post/ ) and write your posts making sure you include the categories that you've chosen to pull onto your homepage.
Thanks Tammie, well I do have enabled and I enabled it again and refreshed the website and there is still no Signup appearing?! Very strange.
And as for the home page psotings, when I go to theme options the only options I was given were uncategorized or about no home, now that I have setup some categories it lists those as well but there is absolutely no home option. If I select a category it simply places it beneath the magazine categories but not under homw. I'am unable to create a category under Home let alone place a post.
The problem is the categories are going under magazine, nothing will appear on the home page. I've litertally tried everything. The only category parent I get is uncategorized or about, there is no option for home.
@jessicarobaina: Please explain what you mean by the following:
now that I have setup some categories it lists those as well but there is absolutely no home option. If I select a category it simply places it beneath the magazine categories but not under homw. I'am unable to create a category under Home let alone place a post.
The options to show posts is under theme options just pick using the drop down the categories and you will see those on the front if you have posts in those categories. If those are the only options you see then can you confirm that as Magazine should show a wide variety of options not just 2 and that could indicate a deeper issue.
I would suggest checking Sue's manual links as there looks like a setting issue here if people can't sign up. Are you using buddypress or not on this site as knowing that could help also. If you are then can you confirm you are using buddypress 1.2.1. Forgive me if you've said that already but I can't seem to find it.
@jessicarobaina: you posted while I was typing so I'll refer to your last post now. You do not need to see a option for home there just select the category and it will show on home - home is a page not a category in this sense of terminology ala the 'home page'. Pick one and if it has posts you will see them there.
Ok, I believe I did try that and it wasn't showing up. I'll try it again.
As for the Sign-in issue, I'am using buddypress 1.2.1 I have enabled it and wouldn't possible know what could have gone wrong. I'll take a look at the manual again. Thanks.
OK. Well as I was fidgeting with the widgets I was able ot place a sing-up link on the side bar but there still isn't the user name and password optoin the top of the page. While I was trying to figure that out I realized I'am no longer able to acces Site Admin on me dashboard. This just keeps getting worse.
Regarding access Site Admin on your dashboard, and apologies for asking, but are you logging in with the username that has site admin access? Sorry have to ask but I've been known to do that my mistake by accident when testing different usernames and when working with numerous web browsers at the same time,
No need to apologize for asking! I'm just happy your helping me! With the user log-in if you look at the top left corner of the preview on the magazine theme it says LOG IN in big letter and to the right you can enter your user name & password and I acn't seem to get that on my homepage.
Well I was loggin in as admin and then the password given to me but as I was going to in enable the user login AGAIN it all of a sudden said I did not have persmission to acces that part. And then my entire site admin tool bar is gone I cant even access site admin options. Nothing. I'm panicing a bit.
I also have a couple more questions you may be able to help me with:
1. I would like to know which plug-in or widget it is that I need so viewers are able to advertise on my site by uploading their own image and using paypal.
2. Also is there more installation I perhaps had to do to my buddypress installation through site admin and that maybe the reason for some of these issues?
Can you tell me in BuddyPress settings > General Settings do you have Hide admin bar for logged out users?: selects as Yes or No? Can I get you to try logging in using another web browser like Chrome or FireFox just in case it it logging you in with another username that it hasn't logged you out of properly?
Do you mean you want them to pay you to be able to upload their image onto your site for advertising their product?
Ok I know what your talking about but I can't get to the buddypress settings because my site admin is gone! It's just gone. Don't know why or how but it is.I'am unable to make anymore changes to my website.
Sorry but I have to make sure that I've checked everything. But can I get you to confirm that you are logging in with username admin that was originally set up when you installed your BuddyPress site?
Under Appearance--BP Compatibility it says this : Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_core_is_multisite() in /home/temecula/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bp-template-pack/bp-template-pack.php on line 188
I'm maybe assuming this could also be a reason for some of these issues? uh.
@jessicarobaina: Please do not use the bp compatability plugin our themes do not need that. Check what plugins you have remove them all apart from buddypress and see if you get that issue.
Ok I didn't but I did notice it there, I went to my plugins and there seems to be nothing activated and none to deactivate, I also can no longer "add new" plug in. This is scary, the site admin bar is gone.
@jessicarobaina: I really think your installation has far deeper issues than you initially think. Are you the only one who has access to the admin on this? Is this an active site or a test site - if it was a test site I'd suggest clearing down reinstalling everything as you seem to have gone down a route of issues. That being said this may not be a possibility. Have you tried removing all plugins and seeing what happens then? Is there any chance someone could have changed your role to not site admin?
It is an active site, I'am the only one who has access to this, however I did creat a TEST login user yesterday with only certain permissions and that is when some of these issues began to occur. No one else has access to the admin site, I'm the only one doing this. So what should I be removing then Buddypress from my filemanager & reinstall everything?
I don't mind resettitng everything and starting over now with all the "traning" you've given me haha, the quicker I get this going for me the better. :) Can I have my wpmu admin account reset as well? Starting from scratch for me is no problem, I just want everything running properly.
Also Tammie, I know last time I removed buddypress you mentioned having done "cleanly" well now thats not possible due to the fact that I'm no longer allowed access to do so, so what are your suggestions? Thanks again!
@jessicarobaina: I am not sure what you mean by removing buddypress from your file manager. I assume you mean the files? Well the thing is I think there could be an issue with how you've set up WPMU and buddypress. If you create a user and this happens then something definetly isn't right - as to what.. I haven't got an answer I'm afraid. I suggest you remove all files then to remove and also delete the databases. Start with a fresh install following the manuals on this site for installing WPMU then for buddypress and see where you are at then. Least you will have a clean slate. I am suggesting fresh for buddypress and WPMU if just by creating a user with permissions everything does what you say.
I'd even say for now just activate the default theme see what happens then following the guide on the theme (each of our themes when you download have install instructions also then hopefully your issues will resolve.
I will note that by doing this you will loose all content you have set up on your site so be sure that is something that won't be an issue as I'm suggesting you literally delete all files and databases to be completely fresh about this.
OK, will do. My server set-up my wpmu account though so should I speak with them? I'm fine loosing all content. I'd rather have a fresh start at this point. Thanks again.
Hi Tammie, Just want to make sure I do this right this time, my wpmu account has already been recreated and will be ready for me to use in 48hours, however in the meantime I'd like to start unzipping the needed files. I'm aware I need the buddypress 1.2.1 dowload which is what I had, only now I'm noticing at the bottom of the magazine theme dowload page it says:
Hi there Member, check out all available downloads for this project here
Inwhich it lists a series of downloads, was I supposed to download one or all of those downloads?
@jessicarobaina: Hang on your wpmu account? Where are you doing this? Aren't you hosting this yourself? Sorry was under the impression you were - where are you hosting it.. this could be the issue. If problems persist you may need to contact whoever is creating this for you as I was thinking you were self hosting.
As for themes you just download them each time there is a button or you pick the latest version number (highest).
OK so I did in fact dowload the most recent theme. As for the hosting PSek is doing my hosting so I had them re-install wpmu. All I did on my own was unzip the buddypress 1.2.1 , tranfer thru file zilla which was directed to my home and I placed it in the wp-content --plugins. And then I had followed your directions wiht the theme folders which was the same process only I placed them in their correct folders. So Psek has reset my wpmu account and now I'm just waiting.
@jessicarobaina: You need to find out how they are installing WPMU as that could be the issue. All your issues seemed more WPMU than buddypress particularly once you lost admin useage / site admin / plugins ability - that was all WPMU stuff.
Alrighty well I'ma lready up and going again. what I did differently was the auto install of buddypress and I activated it. I think the next step is where things began to go wrong so I want to be sure I'm doing this correctly. It's telling me I need to install a buddypress compatible theme so this is whre I install the magazine theme. But, my main site theme is going to be different from my "blog" theme correct? Which theme do you suggest I activate under siteadmin blogs? I just know that there is where all these issues began. Let's try this again.
@jessicarobaina: Magazine can work for any site even if it doesn't have buddypress installed. Not sure what you mean about main site / blog theme. Your main site has a blog that is your main site and main blog. Other people sign up for blogs and you can offer them any themes - check out our farms pack for instance for a range: http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/farms-100-big-ones-theme-pack-updated. Just refer back to the manual links I gave previously for information on how wpmu should be set up.
Ok now so this is where I'm getting confused. Sorry. Ok I can set up the magazine theme for my main blog, and when I go to siteadmin-blog-edti- and here go to select a theme, am I able to select more then one here for my bloggers or is this what I'm installing teh farm-100-big ones for? Because I do already have a long list of themes to choose from so I guess I'm just not understanding if I'm checking more then one box here. Also I did read it offers "serve ads", where can I learn more about what that is, because I do want people/business owners to be able to advetise their products on my site so is this what I would need? Sorry for so many questions I just want to make sure I do it right and avoid any further issues.
OK , I'm remembering what Sue said to me last night, they do have it setup that I'm sigining in through my domains url, is that normal that I sign in that route? I don't want website viewers attempting to log-in that way.
The only extra point you need to realise is that with themes that include parent and child theme you need to upload both folders to your site but only activate the child theme.
There is a few different ways to offer ads. Can we think about the different options while you are working on the themes?
Re- how you are logging in. Can you give us the URL links you are using to log in with so we can see what options you are meaning re-your users?
Wonderful! Thanks for the links on manuals! Very much needed. :) Oh ok, see I was activating the parent theme for my main site and child theme under blog. hm. OK so when I install I willnot activate the parent them just the child then. Thank you for that.
I'm logging in through my domain http://temeculacountryliving.com/ I also was given this link http://temeculacountryliving.com/wp-admin/ but I just wanted to be sure this was correct. I don't want everything to have to be reset again once I get going on this. Thanks!
Not sure if this is playing into your issue, but I have an account with pSek that I use for testing, and by default it seems they use PHP4.
In order to use PHP5 - which is required for many WP/WPMU/BP plugins to be functional - you need to manually modify your .htaccess file. Don't know why they do this. I recently did a clean install of WPMU 2.9.2 and BP 1.2.1 on pSek, and had to add:
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php
FWIW.
(I'm not sure what kind of security issues this poses, but it would probably be good to find out if this is intended to be a production site.)
@jessicarobaina: the wp-admin link is to get behind your admin panel for wordpress that is how you should do it to activate plugins and other things like themes - how were you doing that before?
In terms of login you will have been sent two login links:
1. Site admin login - http://temeculacountryliving.com/wp-admin/ with your site admin user login details
2. cPanel login details - with login details for your cPanel which is what you use for FTP themes, plugins etc.
For your users there is a range of different ways they can log in. The most common way on a BuddyPress site is using the admin bar at the top. Any one who has a username created without a blog will automatically be added as a user to the main blog as the role of a subscriber. They need to be attached to a blog so they can change features like their profile. While they will be able to access the main blog dashboard they can't do much - http://help.edublogs.org/2009/08/24/what-are-the-different-roles-of-users/
You can also create another username for yourself and make it a site admin users by adding it to Site Admin > Options in the section that says site admin user. You should already see the username admin listed there - http://wpmu.org/the-wordpress-mu-guide/site-options/standard-site-options/ This is always a good safe guard against problems with passwords on your admin account etc.
Tammi; I was logging through the w admin page, but it would route me there from my website. I think I got it figured out now! The website is up and it look right! Thanks for all your help!
Sue: File zilla is how I uploaded all the files. I think the biggest problem I was having was that I had activated the parent theme not the child theme. And thanks for all of the links they are the most helpful! I will set up another admin account then just to be safe. Thank you!
I guess now I just want to be sure, and sorry if I've asked this already, when I go to my site-admin---blogs----edit---- to the right I have a list of themes to choose from, the child theme in that column is not one of them, however there are a list of other themes and the parent magazine theme. Am I only checking ONE theme, and doesn it matter which theme? Are they all compatible?
Thanks soooooo much! You all have been a great help! Sorry for all the trouble. :)
Yes, I did read this but it says select your theme, the theme I activated was the child theme from appearance, but under my blog running press child theme is not available, only the buddypress magazine theme is, so am I to select that theme or could chose any such as daydream?
Sorry if I'm confusing you, I;m confused myself.
One more question Tammie in addition to my replies above: How do I get the slide show on the home page to work? I went to theme settings and selected 'yes' but theres still nothing happening, do I have to go somewhere else to get this going, media perhaps? thx.
@jess: You need to select the category see attached screenshot - and have posts in it with images for the slideshow to work.
You can activate the child or parent theme it doesn't matter which. However the child is usually used by people wanting to make their own version of the theme without touching our core code. If you activated both you'd see both in your themes list.
Tammie, I would like to know, on the theme I chose the green one, but can I and if so, where do I change the backround image of Green graphic to a different image. Thank you.
@Jess: to upload a custom graphic just select default.css and then under theme options where it says about background image upload a new one. Default.css is the pink one you then just pick your own colours for the site.
I don't know if I'm supposed to begin a new thread or not but here I go:
I've been trying to upload a background image & logo to the default theme. However the images were to large so once I shrunk them and tried to upload them to the media library it says in red HTTP ERROR why am I getting this?
@Jess: You can set your upload limits under your settings under wp-admin however you may also need to contact your hosting to get that resolved. A http error says to me that you've got a limit on how large a file you can upload somewhere. If you're hosting set up your WPMU you will want to talk to them about this.
I've attached screen shots to better explain what I want changed, but under what option changed the LOG IN color box and the Hot pink fonts and Underlines of the posts. Basically everything hot pink I would like to change to green but there are so many options to change colors on I don't want to change the wrong thing again and have to reset the entire theme options. Thank you! I hope I explained this ok.
@Jess: You would have to select the default.css then pick each element under the custom style and work through them. That or you could use the child theme and set the preset to the green one then just change those elements in your child theme's custom.css. You do not have to reset the theme options if you select the wrong one simply make sure the element doesn't have anything in the field for instance if you pick a colour say black it would say #111111 in that field.. just remove it and save and it will revert. As for finding the element I'd suggest using something like firefox with firebug to roll over each element and see what class / element it refers to if you are going for the child.css option however it may also help for the theme options but they are well named. I do not see a screenshot attached to this post however those are the steps you should take - customisation is up to you as to what you actually do.
Ya sorry about that for some reason it did not attach the screen shots, I was just hoping how when your under theme options to customize (which I did the default.css) theres a list of what to change Ex: background color, navigation backround color, text color I was hoping you would know which of those options I have to change in order to change just what shows up Pink on the home page. Thanks again.
@Jess have you gone to Site Admin > Options and changed your Blog upload space and Max upload file size?
The default settings for both of these when you set up a new site are always too low. If you haven't changed them I recommend you make Blog upload space about 2000 MB and Max upload file size 20000 or 30000 KB,
If you are using the Supporter plugin or a plugin that other users need to pay for these types of features then you need to adjust these limits differently.
@Jess: As pink is a style that effects every element that would be quite a list. The main thing to do is look for text settings, buttons and submits however it also effects navigation. I think you'd be far better off using something like green and a custom.css as then you can literally just pick the elements you don't like however you'd need to get firebug and then edit each one you find by putting a new style under your custom.css.

@jessicarobaina Have you checked out our BuddyPress Manual (http://premium.wpmudev.org/the-buddypress-manual/ )? You will find the section on how to turn on the sign up option here - http://premium.wpmudev.org/the-buddypress-manual/letting-people-register/
To create posts that show directly on your homepage you need to log into your main blog and go to Posts > New Post ( http://help.edublogs.org/2009/07/29/writing-your-first-post/ ) and write your posts making sure you include the categories that you've chosen to pull onto your homepage.

No problem @jessicarobaina and great to hear you have got a post on your homepage.
With the sign up do you mean on your Register page here - http://temeculacountryliving.com/wp-signup.php or do you mean that when logged out your don't have a link in your top admin bar for sign up and log in ( http://premium.wpmudev.org/the-buddypress-manual/about-the-buddypress-admin-bar/ ) like I have on my demo site - http://edugroups.org/ ?

Member — 8th March 2010 17:51 #
I don't mind resettitng everything and starting over now with all the "traning" you've given me haha, the quicker I get this going for me the better. :) Can I have my wpmu admin account reset as well? Starting from scratch for me is no problem, I just want everything running properly.
Member — 8th March 2010 18:52 #
Also Tammie, I know last time I removed buddypress you mentioned having done "cleanly" well now thats not possible due to the fact that I'm no longer allowed access to do so, so what are your suggestions? Thanks again!
Theme Designer — 8th March 2010 19:08 #
@jessicarobaina: I am not sure what you mean by removing buddypress from your file manager. I assume you mean the files? Well the thing is I think there could be an issue with how you've set up WPMU and buddypress. If you create a user and this happens then something definetly isn't right - as to what.. I haven't got an answer I'm afraid. I suggest you remove all files then to remove and also delete the databases. Start with a fresh install following the manuals on this site for installing WPMU then for buddypress and see where you are at then. Least you will have a clean slate. I am suggesting fresh for buddypress and WPMU if just by creating a user with permissions everything does what you say.
http://premium.wpmudev.org/wpmu-and-buddypress-installation/
I'd even say for now just activate the default theme see what happens then following the guide on the theme (each of our themes when you download have install instructions also then hopefully your issues will resolve.
I will note that by doing this you will loose all content you have set up on your site so be sure that is something that won't be an issue as I'm suggesting you literally delete all files and databases to be completely fresh about this.
Member — 8th March 2010 19:24 #

Thanks.
Theme Designer — 8th March 2010 21:42 #
@jessicarobaina: Hang on your wpmu account? Where are you doing this? Aren't you hosting this yourself? Sorry was under the impression you were - where are you hosting it.. this could be the issue. If problems persist you may need to contact whoever is creating this for you as I was thinking you were self hosting.
As for themes you just download them each time there is a button or you pick the latest version number (highest).
Member — 8th March 2010 21:50 #
OK so I did in fact dowload the most recent theme. As for the hosting PSek is doing my hosting so I had them re-install wpmu. All I did on my own was unzip the buddypress 1.2.1 , tranfer thru file zilla which was directed to my home and I placed it in the wp-content --plugins. And then I had followed your directions wiht the theme folders which was the same process only I placed them in their correct folders. So Psek has reset my wpmu account and now I'm just waiting.
Theme Designer — 8th March 2010 21:52 #
@jessicarobaina: You need to find out how they are installing WPMU as that could be the issue. All your issues seemed more WPMU than buddypress particularly once you lost admin useage / site admin / plugins ability - that was all WPMU stuff.
Member — 8th March 2010 22:36 #
Alrighty well I'ma lready up and going again. what I did differently was the auto install of buddypress and I activated it. I think the next step is where things began to go wrong so I want to be sure I'm doing this correctly. It's telling me I need to install a buddypress compatible theme so this is whre I install the magazine theme. But, my main site theme is going to be different from my "blog" theme correct? Which theme do you suggest I activate under siteadmin blogs? I just know that there is where all these issues began. Let's try this again.
Member — 8th March 2010 22:37 #
OSorry just read your last post. I'll ask them now, is there a certain way of setting it up I should perhaps mention to them? thx again.
Theme Designer — 8th March 2010 22:49 #
@jessicarobaina: Magazine can work for any site even if it doesn't have buddypress installed. Not sure what you mean about main site / blog theme. Your main site has a blog that is your main site and main blog. Other people sign up for blogs and you can offer them any themes - check out our farms pack for instance for a range: http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/farms-100-big-ones-theme-pack-updated. Just refer back to the manual links I gave previously for information on how wpmu should be set up.
Member — 8th March 2010 23:04 #
Member — 8th March 2010 23:17 #
OK , I'm remembering what Sue said to me last night, they do have it setup that I'm sigining in through my domains url, is that normal that I sign in that route? I don't want website viewers attempting to log-in that way.

@jessicarobaina I recommend you read these pages in our Site Admin users manual (http://wpmu.org/the-wordpress-mu-guide/)
1. Blog theme options - http://wpmu.org/the-wordpress-mu-guide/blog-themes-options/
2. Enabling themes site wide - http://wpmu.org/the-wordpress-mu-guide/blog-themes-options/changing-what-themes-are-available-site-wide/
3. Enabling themes on a blog by blog basis - http://wpmu.org/the-wordpress-mu-guide/blog-themes-options/changing-what-themes-are-available-on-a-per-blog-basis/
Member — 8th March 2010 23:32 #
Thanks!
Member — 8th March 2010 23:38 #
Not sure if this is playing into your issue, but I have an account with pSek that I use for testing, and by default it seems they use PHP4.
In order to use PHP5 - which is required for many WP/WPMU/BP plugins to be functional - you need to manually modify your .htaccess file. Don't know why they do this. I recently did a clean install of WPMU 2.9.2 and BP 1.2.1 on pSek, and had to add:
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .phpFWIW.

Support Guru — 9th March 2010 00:58 #
@jessicarobaina
In terms of login you will have been sent two login links:
1. Site admin login - http://temeculacountryliving.com/wp-admin/ with your site admin user login details
2. cPanel login details - with login details for your cPanel which is what you use for FTP themes, plugins etc.
For installing all themes and plugins we recommend you use FTP to upload them using an application like FileZilla (http://filezilla-project.org/ ) - http://premium.wpmudev.org/wpmu-manual/using-mu-plugins/
Member — 9th March 2010 01:40 #

@jessicarobaina it should look as per these screenshots towards the bottom of the page - http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/buddypress-magazine-theme/installation/
Member — 9th March 2010 04:30 #
Yes, I did read this but it says select your theme, the theme I activated was the child theme from appearance, but under my blog running press child theme is not available, only the buddypress magazine theme is, so am I to select that theme or could chose any such as daydream?
Sorry if I'm confusing you, I;m confused myself.
Support Guru — 9th March 2010 06:31 #
@jessicarobaina no problem and probably best if we wait for Tammie so she can confirm the images should match what you are seeing.
Member — 9th March 2010 06:50 #
Ok, sounds good to me. Thanks again Sue.
Member — 9th March 2010 07:02 #
One more question Tammie in addition to my replies above: How do I get the slide show on the home page to work? I went to theme settings and selected 'yes' but theres still nothing happening, do I have to go somewhere else to get this going, media perhaps? thx.
Theme Designer — 9th March 2010 10:04 #
@jess: You need to select the category see attached screenshot - and have posts in it with images for the slideshow to work.
You can activate the child or parent theme it doesn't matter which. However the child is usually used by people wanting to make their own version of the theme without touching our core code. If you activated both you'd see both in your themes list.
Member — 9th March 2010 19:49 #
Ohok awesome! Thanks so much Tammie!
Member — 11th March 2010 01:29 #
Tammie, I would like to know, on the theme I chose the green one, but can I and if so, where do I change the backround image of Green graphic to a different image. Thank you.
Theme Designer — 11th March 2010 08:40 #
@Jess: to upload a custom graphic just select default.css and then under theme options where it says about background image upload a new one. Default.css is the pink one you then just pick your own colours for the site.
Member — 12th March 2010 17:52 #
I don't know if I'm supposed to begin a new thread or not but here I go:
I've been trying to upload a background image & logo to the default theme. However the images were to large so once I shrunk them and tried to upload them to the media library it says in red HTTP ERROR why am I getting this?
Thanks.
Member — 12th March 2010 18:50 #
I did notice it says I'm using 96% of the media storage space?! How can I expand the space?? I only have 4 images in the library! thx.
Theme Designer — 12th March 2010 21:30 #
@Jess: You can set your upload limits under your settings under wp-admin however you may also need to contact your hosting to get that resolved. A http error says to me that you've got a limit on how large a file you can upload somewhere. If you're hosting set up your WPMU you will want to talk to them about this.
Member — 13th March 2010 00:04 #
I've attached screen shots to better explain what I want changed, but under what option changed the LOG IN color box and the Hot pink fonts and Underlines of the posts. Basically everything hot pink I would like to change to green but there are so many options to change colors on I don't want to change the wrong thing again and have to reset the entire theme options. Thank you! I hope I explained this ok.
Theme Designer — 13th March 2010 01:14 #
Member — 13th March 2010 01:28 #
Ya sorry about that for some reason it did not attach the screen shots, I was just hoping how when your under theme options to customize (which I did the default.css) theres a list of what to change Ex: background color, navigation backround color, text color I was hoping you would know which of those options I have to change in order to change just what shows up Pink on the home page. Thanks again.
Support Guru — 13th March 2010 01:35 #
@Jess have you gone to Site Admin > Options and changed your Blog upload space and Max upload file size?
The default settings for both of these when you set up a new site are always too low. If you haven't changed them I recommend you make Blog upload space about 2000 MB and Max upload file size 20000 or 30000 KB,
If you are using the Supporter plugin or a plugin that other users need to pay for these types of features then you need to adjust these limits differently.
Member — 13th March 2010 04:35 #
got it. thx.
Theme Designer — 13th March 2010 17:29 #
@Jess: As pink is a style that effects every element that would be quite a list. The main thing to do is look for text settings, buttons and submits however it also effects navigation. I think you'd be far better off using something like green and a custom.css as then you can literally just pick the elements you don't like however you'd need to get firebug and then edit each one you find by putting a new style under your custom.css.
