Ok i've not felt this much like a newb in years the solution to this must be staring me in the face but - here goes ;)
I’m using the Studio theme I changed the homepage to latest posts using the manage theme customise option, now however I can't find a way to set it back to default.
I can of course point it at any of my other pages but not the original cool looking page with the slider and all the content buckets which isn't listed anywhere.
I guess I will need to alter the db but not sure where?
I have swapped themes and swapped back and deleted the theme and reinstalled it via the admin inteface but this didn't work.
I have customised the theme a little (just looks etc via the built in options) so ideally if I can just point it back to the correct homepage without having to manually remove the files for the theme via ftp and start again that would be great.

Greetings warren,
Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the Studio theme.
Considering all that you have been through I know this may be a silly question, but is there any chance that you have not yet reset the theme using the:
Clicking this will reset all theme options - use with caution --> Reset all options
Option?
Please advise and screen shot below.

Thanks for getting back to me Joe
I was loathe to do it as it meant loosing the customisations but I recorded all the changes in notepad held my breath and tried it ...
but no joy.

:(
I was sure this would just be a check-box somewhere I was missing.
This is one for the developers I think, add button "restore theme homepage" ;)
Any ideas as to what to try next ?

Ok I'm truly an idiot, I clicked on the: reset all theme options
But then failed to follow it with: Save all options
Having done this the theme is now completely reset ,
so I have some customisation to do but at least we are back in business so thanks for your help it is greatly appreciated.
I still think that an option to switch the theme homepage back on without a reset would be good though.
As anyone temporarily switching to posts or a specific page for a short duration will have to re-enter their custom set-ups before they can get the original homepage back.
Ok that's my quota of dumb things done for this month, lets hope some poor soul can learn something from all this dumbassedness, thanks again for the help.
Warren ;)

Greetings Warren,
Thank you for the feedback and for letting me know you got things back to square one.
The customize feature that you originally used to set the homepage to posts is a new feature recently thrown in by WordPress, just a couple of versions ago it did not exist.
I totally agree that theme developers will need to get used to this new feature and design themes that will take this new feature into consideration and to design accordingly to include taking into account what a user may inadvertently do to themselves.
Thank you for being a WPMU Dev Member!
