Hi there
I tried to activate anti-splog, and it asked me for wpmudev api key
and when i tried to add my server I got this message
There was a problem with the API key you entered: "Your server IP and WPMU Site Domain is not yet registered for this API Key. You are attempting to connect from 00.00.000.000." Fix it here»
when ever I try to fix it i got the same error over and over
I found this messages under statistics:
This service has analyzed 0 blogs for your site(s). You have marked 0 blogs as spam, and 0 blogs as not spam. We have processed 9 total requests from your servers!
and still antisplog is inactive in my website
how long does wpmu dev take to process my requests !!?

There's already a number of threads on this topic. The major cause to this has been misconfiguration of the server that your site is sitting on. Usually the IP address of the wpmu install doesn't match up with the actual IP address of the server. Can you give some specific details to your box as well as it's setup? (ie OS, IP addresses in question, the url of your install, etc) Also who are you hosted with?
Another concern I have is your IP address is showing at 00.* etc as that's not a valid IP address. Is that what you;re actually seeing? If so, the server you;re sitting on is seeing itself as 00.* and that's a concern you need to raise with your host. You'll have problems with outbound communications (Such as this one) if the receiving site has even the basic beginnings of security as they won;t accept communications from an incorrect address such as this one.
edit: An aside to Andrew if he sees this: The link button still doesn;t close when you highlight the words to add in the link.
I masked my IP in the last post and I tried to add ssmmid.org as a server with the right IP address. i'm using a shared account at hostgator and I think they are using linux as OS
@Aron - I registered with the right IP address but the same error message
There was a problem with the API key you entered: "Your server IP and WPMU Site Domain is not yet registered for this API Key. You are attempting to connect from 74.53.239.242." Fix it here»
sorry for raising up this issue again
I think I will consider a Plan B "upgrade my hosting to VPS" if that might help and solve the problem, but if there is any way to save me from plan B I would really apprciate it

That's the problem.
Your server is the 74.53.239.242 address
ssmmid.org is at the 74.53.239.249 address.
Try registering with the *.242 address if you haven't tried that yet.

So did the *.242 IP work then? We haven't rolled this out to my clients yet (We run our own spam solution locally) and our servers have a block of 16 addresses. Clients are on separate IPs then the box so I know this will be an issue.

If you view the other threads, just register using the actual IP the error message is saying you are connecting from.

@Andrew - I will follow that up
@Aron - I registered with the right IP address but the same error message

Check out my thread at http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/anti-splog-requiring-two-ip-address-in-order-to-register-api-key also ... I discovered that because I was on shared hosting, I had to register TWO IP addresses in order to get the API key to correctly register. Mayhaps Andrew, et al, will look at this in the future, but that workaround got my key recognized.

Making my suggestion again to compare against the Class C instead of the specific IP address. I think that'll solve at least this issue.
