I want to embed posts dynamically so that even if the content of that post is edited , this is what the embed shows. Wordpress.com gets to embed their posts. Can't find anything for self hosted.

Hello Annabelle!
I was able to find this!
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/embed-posts/
Any other plugins I was able to find for this were very very old.
However, the latest and greatest is using iframes
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/iframe/
Heres someone using it, however it predates the plugin :)

Hey Annabelle.
I'd like to ask for a little clarification on something because I may be able to add something to what KimberlyL has given. But, I don't want to prattle on about something that you're not trying to do.
When you say "anywhere", where all do you mean? If you are talking about Facebook for example, there are some additional requirement with FB that aren't required elsewhere. I can give you some insight there as well.
Second, do you have an example (even if it's a wordpress.com example) of what you are talking about? Since I've NEVER knowingly been on wordpress.com, I am unfamiliar with what you are talking about.
KimberlyL may understand what you are wanting to do, but I'm just curious enough to ask what you are wanting to accomplish ;)
Awaiting your answers with baited breath.

To add to KimberlyL comments , iFrame method. - you will need to enable iFrames via a plugin or functions.php in your theme.

Thanks Kimberly and everyone, I used the embed post plugin which doesn't seem to show any settings or button for the embed code? Perhaps if anyone can take a peek at it's script , I might know where to copy the code for embedding. (By reading it I also couldn't tell if it meant cross domains for only the wp install or on any site, I do want to use it on any site, in particular as an email widget like I've seen around for wordpress.com which should be possible via simple html). The thing is iframes won't work for what I need the embeds for, plus it's usually ban on sites.

Perhaps we should see what James Dunn is speaking of then?
He may have a better idea :)
I am also unfamiliar with WordPress.com capabilities, so I'm afraid that your explanation doesn't create a very vivid picture for me.
